What are the major industrial standards for radiation monitoring and protection from radiation sources?

IEEE Standards for Radiation Monitoring

IEEE 309 is the standard test procedure for Geiger-Meuller counters. These are more commonly called Geiger counters. IEEE 309 is ANSI approved, and it is also known as ANSI N42.3.
IEEE N317 gives the performance criteria for instruments like Geiger counters used for in plant plutonium monitoring. IEEE N317 is ANSI approved.
IEEE N323 is the standard test and calibration method for portable radiation protection instrumentation. IEEE standard N323 is ANSI approved.
IEEE N42.49 gives the performance criteria for personal radiation detectors or PERD that emit an alarm to inform wearers when they approach a radiation exposure limit. IEEE Std N42.49 is ANSI approved.
IEEE N42.37 is the ANSI approved standard for training security personnel in the use of radiation detection instrumentation.

ASTM Standards for Radiation Monitoring

ASTM E666 is the standard method of calculating how much gamma or X radiation someone has absorbed. ASTM E666 has been adopted by the U.S. DoD. ASTM E2232 gives the ANSI approved method of calculating absorbed radiation dosage in radiation processing applications.
ASTM C1321 describes the use and installation methods for radiation control coatings in building construction. ASTM D4082 describes the method of testing the effects of gamma radiation on coatings used inside of nuclear power plants. ASTM F2547 is the procedure of determining the attenuation properties of materials that protect against X-rays.

ASTM E2701 gives the performance requirements for dosimeters in radiation processing.
ASTM 51702 is the standard for measuring dosimetry in facilities that use gamma irradiation. ASTM 51400 gives the performance requirements for high dosimetry calibration in laboratories.

ASTM 51608, also known as ISO 51608, is the standard method of measuring dosimetry in an X-ray radiation processing facility. ASTM 51608 is ANSI approved.

ASTM 51818 describes the method of determining dosimetry at electron beam facilities running between 80 and 300 keV. ASTM 51649 is the ANSI approved method of determining dosimetry for radiation processing facilities using electron beams between 300 keV and 25 MeV. ASTM E170 outlines the formally approved terms and definitions related to radiation measurement and dosimetry. ASTM E6668 gives the standard use of Thermoluminescence-Dosimetry (TLD) systems.

ASTM 91956 describes the ANSI approved use of Thermoluminescence Dosimetry (TLD) systems.

ASTM C1112 is the standard for radiation monitors used to ensure the security of nuclear material.

IEC Standards for Radiation Monitoring and Geiger Counters

IEC 60151-25 is the standard for measuring the measuring Geiger-Muller counter tubes.
IEC 60532 is the standard for radiation protection instrumentation that can monitor X-rays and gamma radiation.

ISO Standards

ISO 29661 gives the definitions and concepts for radiation fields for radiation protection. Several ASTM standards for radiation and its monitoring have been adopted by the ISO.

ASTM 51539 is the standard guide for using radiation sensitive indicators. ASTM 51539 has been adopted by the ISO as ISO 51539. ASTM 51900 is a guide for radiation research in food. ASTM 51900 standard has also been adopted by the ISO.

European Standards for Radiation Monitoring, Dosimetry and Protection

DS EN 62327 is the European standard for handheld instruments for detecting and identifying photon radiation and its dosage.

DS EN 60544-1 outlines the process of determining the effects of ionizing radiation on electrical insulation.

DS EN 61331 is the standard for protective devices used to protect against medical X-ray radiation.

DS EN 11137 / AAMI 11137 is the standard for the sterilization by radiation of medical devices, including the development, validation and control of the sterilization process. This standard has been adopted as ISO Standard 11137.

DS EN 61582 is the standard for in vivo radiation counters.

The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers or ASABE issued standard EP402 to set a standard measure for radiation quantities and units.
