Diets which include high contents of onions, chili pepper, curry, and garlic might give your urine a strong smell. Drinking a lot of coffee can also make your urine smell bad. A more serious possible reason why your urine smells bad could be caused by liver disease. Liver disease is not a very common cause of urine bad odor. However, the symptoms of liver disease might include strong urine odor.
