Surprising things Reiki can be used for

In case you are unsure what Reiki is, take a look at this article first. Reiki Really Works. It explains the history and principles of Reiki in a simple uncomplicated way.

I wonder if you know just how many things Reiki can be used for? Of course everyone knows that it can be used to heal physical illnesses both mild and more serious in nature. The list below is not exhaustive:

Physical Ailments

  • Angina
  • Back Pain
  • Bee Stings
  • Broken Bones*
  • Cancer**
  • Colds
  • Cuts*
  • Diabetes*
  • Generalised aches and pains
  • Headache
  • Heart Disease
  • Indigestion
  • Influenza
  • Leukaemia**
  • Stomach pain

Mental & Emotional

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Phobias
  • Stress
  • Tension

*A note of caution. Do not use on broken bones unless they have already been set; healing can take place too quickly and the bones may heal unaligned. For similar reasons, exercise caution when treating deep cuts as nerve damage may have occurred and this needs treating before healing. Also if you give Reiki to diabetic people make sure to tell them to check and monitor their blood sugar levels for 24 hours after the session as Reiki can influence insulin levels.

**Personally I won’t use Reiki for cancer unless the person is in remission. If there is any suggestion that the disease is terminal I am very reluctant; even though Reiki always works for the higher good of the person, I am of the view that in some cases it may be the best thing for that person to pass if they are very seriously ill and unlikely to recover. If their departure is hastened; whilst this may be to the good of the patient it may not be viewed as such by their remaining relatives and friends. This is purely my own feeling and you may feel differently.

Animals

Reiki can be used on all animals, including:

  • Birds
  • Cats
  • Dogs
  • Exotic species
  • Farm animals
  • Fish
  • Horses

My son’s Siamese Fighting Fish ‘Rocky’ developed some kind of fungal infection and was found floating at the top of the tank with a hole in his side. I directed Reiki into the water of the tank and Rocky started swimming again. I treated him every day for a week and he lived on for about six months and then went into a decline that he couldn’t be saved from.

For All Living Things

If you place some seeds in the palm of your hand, cover them with your other hand and give them Reiki they will flourish when planted. Use the gentle healing power of Reiki on:

Bulbs

Flowers

Fruit Trees and Bushes

House Plants

Seeds

Trees

Vegetable plants

Food & Drink

Use Reiki on food as you prepare to cook it and it will remove toxins and make it healthier. Do the same with water drawn from the tap.

Past Life Healing

Reiki can be used both for past life healing and for the healing of past events in the current lifetime. To do this you will need to have studied Reiki Level 2 and be familiar with the symbol Hon-Sha-Ze-Sho-Nen. I will not be showing the symbols here as I believe they should be kept secret. If you have had training as a Reiki practitioner you will be familiar with them. However, it is possible to view the symbols on the internet if you so wish.

Future Healing

The HSZSN symbol can also be used to send Reiki into the future. Perhaps you or someone you know is getting married. Reiki can be sent to ensure the day goes smoothly and the marriage is a happy one (assuming of course that this would be for the greatest good of all concerned). Maybe someone is due to go into hospital for an operation – again Reiki can be sent to the hospital and staff.

Scanning for Health Problems

Byosen

Byosen, loosely translated means Disease Line. The practitioner begins to scan from the head downwards just by moving their hands close to but not touching the body. Everyone experiences a different feeling when they find a point which is diseased or damaged in some way; for me I feel a break in the energy and an icy cold sensation. You can then direct the healing to the nearest hand position.

Inanimate Objects

Some people maintain that Reiki only works for living things but I can report that I have successfully used it on these items with some success:

  • Clock
  • Computer
  • Dying Batteries
  • Iron
  • Microwave
  • Mobile Phone
  • Remote Control
  • Washing Machine
  • Watch

I would advise trying it on anything that isn’t working properly because it can’t do any harm and may even help.

Cleansing & Purifying

Crystals and jewellery can be cleansed and charged with Reiki before being given as a gift. Houses, offices, and personal spaces can be cleared and cleansed. Stand in the centre of the room and make the Choku Rei sign if you are trained to that level. Try this when boarding a plane or some other form of public transport. I find that this can be done unobtrusively if you make the movement with your eyes alone.

On a personal level, you can charge your shower or bath water with Reiki energy to cleanse and protect yourself from negative energies. If you have aches and pains it can help with those if your bath water is charged with Reiki or you could try directing Reiki to the clothes you are about to wear. Try applying Reiki to your pillow or even your whole bed to cure headache or general aches and pains.

Relationship Problems

Reiki can be used to help with relationship problems too. It can be sent remotely to the couple or to the individual by using the distance symbol Hon-Sha-Ze-Sho-Nen and the Emotion symbol Sei He Ki. If the person requiring healing is already suffering mental turmoil I would advise against using the SHK and use only the HSZSN and the CKR if you like. Please be aware that the effect may not be what the person actually wants but it will be what is best for them.

Traffic Related

If someone is driving too close to you, imagine drawing a CKR symbol three times over the back of the car and they will drop back. Try using it on traffic jams and car parks to get a parking space.

Experiment, experiment, experiment!

Try Reiki on anything and everything and please feel free to post your successes in the comments box at the bottom.
