Safely Lose Weight

Updated on January 6, 2012

There are literally thousands and thousands of diets, pills, and shakes that all claim to help you lose weight. I have been there looking at a shelf at the store or looking up different companies online trying to find the quickest and easiest way to lose weight.

First and foremost, there is no "secret pill" or "magic" weight loss system or program. No matter what you decide to try it will take effort, period ! You have to be committed to do whatever you have chosen to do. Also, be realistic with your expectations. Most likely you are not going to lose all the weight you are want to lose in a month. Unless you're looking to only lose 5-10 pounds than maybe that is a realistic goal.

How to Lose Weight

The biggest key to successfully losing weight is being consistent and don't reward yourself with food. The easiest thing to do is feel good that you lost a few pounds and then order that pizza or fast food that you are craving.

If you are using a program that includes shakes and pills, than take them consistently everyday when you are supposed to. If you don't do this, you are wasting your money ! The reason these programs don't "work" is in most cases because the person stops taking them like they are supposed to. They start skipping a shake here or there, or pills.

The other biggest "killer" of any diet is snacking, period !!! When you are first starting a program and your body is adjusting to not eating as much it's ok to have a SMALL healthy snack once, twice at the very most a day. Only do this for the first few days as you adjust. Snacking is a habit that you are breaking when doing any sort of "diet." Keep that in mind as you are on your journey to weight loss and a healthier life.
