Biaxin is used to treat variety of bacterial infections and it works by stopping the growth of bacteria. It belongs to a family of drugs called macrolides. It is also used to treat sinus infections, strep throat and pneumonia. It is used with other medications to eliminate Helicobacter pylori. • Seizures
• Bloody diarrhea
• Hypoglycemia or low blood sugar
• Jaundice or yellowing of the whites of the eyes
• Seizures
• Hallucinations
• Fainting
• Irregular heart rhythm
• Flu like symptoms
• Tooth discoloration
• Ringing in the ears

Allergic reactions: Allergic reactions of Biaxin include hives, swelling of the lips, mouth and throat, breathing problems and rashes.

How to use Biaxin: Biaxin comes in various forms which includes tables and suspension liquid. You can take this medicine with or without food. Biaxin works best if you take at the same time every day. Take this medicine as prescribed by your health care provider. Suppose if you take this medicine to treat infection, take the dose until you finish the full prescription, even your symptoms is over. Stopping the medicine early may allow the bacteria to grow.

If you miss a dose of Biaxin, take it as soon as possible. If it is time for another dose, then skip the one you missed and go back to your regular dosage schedule.
