Jogging or even just briskly walking can extend your life and just be healthier overall. Jogging or walking about 30 minutes a day for five days a week can improve your healthfulness. Daily exercise reduces risks of heart diseases, strokes, and diabetes. Also it is great for your mind and can fight depression and anxiety. You can do it on a treadmill or around town with your friend. Also any form of weight lifting can help a lot too. It's said 30 minutes of daily exercise can extend your lifespan by up to 6 years.

The best way to stay healthy is to avoid unhealthy things such as drug. It may seem obvious, but it's true. Don't smoke. Smoking will not only shorten your life span you will most likely feel miserable the years before your death. Smoking causes several heart diseases and cancer. If you already smoke it's not too late to stop. Also drink in moderation. Everything needs moderation. A glass of wine a day may be good for your heart, but any more than that can be bad for you and your liver. Excessive alcohol can lead to cirrhosis and alcoholism. Not only will excessive drinking harm you it can hurt people around you. Almost half of the people who died in car accidents were caused by a driver with alcohol in their system.

Unhealthy eating habits can cause a large variety of life shortening diseases such as heart disease, strokes, diabetes, osteoarthritis, and so many others. Food is how we get our nutrients that our body needs, and if you feed yourself junk it's not going to help. Here are some foods you can add do your daily life.

  1. Stay Hydrated- Your body is 45%-70% water. Being hydrated will improve your alertness, appetite control, and will give you energy for daily things. You should always carry a water bottle with you, so you are always hydrated especially during physical activities like sports. Your pee should be a pale yellow to clear color if you're properly hydrated.
  2. Leafy Greens-Broccoli, bok choy, kale, spinach- Leafy greens have a lot of fiber and antioxidants, try to avoid iceberg lettuce, for it actually doesn't have many nutrients except for a little fiber
  3. Olive oil-Use this with any cooking or your leafy green salad! This is one of the healthiest oils you can use. Not only does it not have saturated fats, but it also contains strong antioxidants
  4. Oily Fish-Salmon, trout, mackerel-These foods are high in omega-3 fatty acids. Fish is great for cholesterol and preventing strokes.
  5. Oats-Oats are high in calcium and great for teeth. Eating oats will also help reduce blood pressure.
  6. Green Tea-Instead of drinking soda or that bottle of beer, try some green tea. This tea is filled with antioxidants and vitamins A,C, and E

What you eat is not the only factor of healthy eating, but how you eat also contributes to your eating lifestyle. The human digestive system works bests when you're body is not under stress or in a hurry. The best way to eat it to take some time, relax, and enjoy a quality meal with friends or family.
