Six Steps Towards Restoration

Updated on March 14, 2012

Six Steps toward Restoration

There comes a place in some lives that call for restoration when there seems no way out of present circumstances condition had gotten so poor that only death would seem to bring relief, there’s and alternative a way out a complete restoration, When one thanks of restoration furniture, car or some old items probably come to mind in six steps to restoration we are going to talk about restoring a life that been put on the junk heap. Jesus said, “I have come that you might have life and that more abundantly” six steps to restoration will point you in the direction of abundant life.

Hope: is the first step of restoration a life void of hope will get to know where fast, hope means to have an expectancy to anticipate? How is hoped acquired? One way to acquire hope is to get around people who have hope; restoration is not a do a lone job you goanna have to get some help. If you were going to restore an old car, you take it to the shop that specialized and restoration of old cars if you goanna restores a life to hope you got to go where they specialize in hope. I suggest the Church, a 12 step group, a counselor, a good book, some work books with exercise on hope, a devotional a study bible; you will need this material throughout your restoration.

Faith: is the next step in restoration one description of faith is “Now faith is the substance of things hope for the evidence of things not seen," if you have acquired some hope the description gives you the key to faith you have some substance, Example, I have been watching Jim and my group for the last six months I see the progress he has made I can make that same progress if you didn’t know that substance? What is the rest of faith? Evidence is when you know to longer see Jims's progress, but you see your own and know you are a messenger of hope to the new person. Is this faith business really that easy yes it really is it will grow as you walk day by day with God asking him to reveal more to you?

Courage: getting rid of the rust, grime, dents; life has scars that must be removed just like the car that’s being restored to be rid of these scars requires courage you cannot be short on courage if you want to restore your life it’s goanna require some sandblasting. A life that requires restoration has been a life that has taken some pain and probably been a life that has to cause some pain and order for the restoration to be complete both have to be face. When both are faced then and only then can healing take place just like you cannot paint over rust you cannot live with deep seated emotional scars that are not handled properly. Seek Help in these areas you do not have to do it alone.

Integrity: Reliability honesty is what one expects from the person he entrusted his to cherish possession when one’s life is restored, he becomes Gods cherish possession and God requires integrity remember you were at the point of giving up to not return to that point you must practice honesty with those you have entrusted your life to. You can only be helped if you are honest about your present condition. This will come with practice the word of God says, “You shall know the truth, and it will set you free.” Freedom is never free it comes with a price but if your present circumstances are at the place of restoration, then integrity is a small price considering the option which is a life of pain and misery.

Humility: Jesus had this to say about humility “The meek shall inherit the earth, when a restoration first reveals it're the most beautiful thing eyes ever seen it’s the same with a restored life it’s the toast of the group it stands out it shout's, I’ve been changed saved from death its hard to be humble when the world seems to be going your way, but it’s a must pride will destroy a restored life. If one is to be helpful to others, humility is the best policy people are attracted to humble people they have a quiet confidence that speaks loud.

Brotherly Love The oldest question known to man am I my brothers Keeper? For the one whose life has been restored the answer is yes in the beginning when we were suggesting hope, we suggest finding a support group, a church or some group of people by which you could obtain hope. Brotherly love is a demonstration of love reserved for close family, for the spiritually dead those who help awaken our sprit are our spiritual family, and we show them love and they us and it goes even further we show love to those who we know are suffering offering them a hand this is our way of showing gratitude to our maker.

Above are six steps to restoration of a life that been badly mangle in some shape or form it’s the writer’s belief that these six principles will help the reader bring restoration to his life and become helpful to others these are just brief descriptions to give the reader a guidepost to go by you will find more on your journey of restoration.
