Updated on November 16, 2019

I am an EXPERT in grooming. Whether it is the way you look or the way you smell, I know what you need.

You Should Smell the Same Way You Look

Gentlemen!

In case nobody told you today, You are amazing! You're super charming, your style is ridiculous and your grooming game is STRONG!.... For the most part.

It has been brought to my attention that some of you...STINK! And you don't even know it.

There are 6 surprising reasons that you are in fact a stinky dude and have absolutely no clue! It's not even your fault, it's your nose's fault...It's gone blind to the situation that's been going on for so long.

Think of it like this: You're driving along in the car to pick up your buddy and you let one rip. At first, you're like "whoa, that is pretty rank". But then, you don't even notice it anymore. Your buddy gets in and he's like "My God, Your Butt STINKS".

Fellas, without further adieu, here are these top 6 reasons you might stink.

# 1 Horrible Halitosis

#1 Horrible Halitosis -

Hot, Steamy breath that makes you want to vomit.

The Big Question is "How do you know if you have Horrible Halitosis?"

Fellas, there's a test!

Go on, Smell the back of your hand....It smells fine, right? No real odor.

NOW LICK IT! Lick the back of your hand...

Then smell it. Does it smell okay? Does it smell bad?

If it stinks, then sorry fellas, but you've got bad breath.

So you've got bad breath...How do you fix it? and How do you prevent it?

Gentlemen, you gotta stay HYDRATED! The first rule of not having halitosis is to stay hydrated. The reason for this is in fact, a dry mouth is a stinky mouth. Another thing guys, regular check-ups at the dentist, rotting or breaking teeth in your mouth WILL smell bad.

#2 - Too Much Cologne

The second reason you might smell bad and don't even know is that you're wearing too much cologne. You gotta know that too much cologne or overpowering fragrances are just as offensive as bad body odors. Maybe you hit yourself with one too many sprays in the morning or before going out for the night, but it's too much and other people may think you stink because of it!

#3 Body Spray

Oh man, that stuff is STRONG and it just covers you in this overpowering, offensive smell. NO! They come in so many different brands now, axe and old spice are the 2 most common you see these days and the smell doesn't even last for long.

Fellas, please, if you want to spray something that smells good and you want to walk around smelling great ALL DAY, without overpowering anybody's senses, try a nice quality cologne and deodorant combo. Personally I use Arm & Hammer Essentials Deodorant (Rosemary and Lavender Scented - Super Mild) and for cologne, I use Nautica Voyage. You can get both on Amazon for under $20!

Nautica Voyage Eau De Toilette for Men - Fresh, Romantic, Fruity Scent Woody, Aquatic Notes of Apple, Water Lotus, Cedarwood, and Musk Ideal Day Wear 3.3 Fl Oz
Nautica Voyage Eau De Toilette for Men - Fresh, Romantic, Fruity Scent Woody, Aquatic Notes of Apple, Water Lotus, Cedarwood, and Musk Ideal Day Wear 3.3 Fl Oz
This is my favorite cologne to wear every day, whether I am working or going out for the night. The scent is amazing and mild so as not to be offensive.

#4 You don't shower every day

"Oh, I don't need to, I don't smell that bad" or "I'm a teenager, sometimes I just smell."

Tell you what, you especially need to shower every day if you're a teenager because your hormones are in overdrive.

Some Cultures may think differently, but just trust me on this one because I can smell you at the gym.

Instead of going nuts with body sprays or cologne, shower every day with a great soap that has a nice fragrance OR a body wash with a nice fragrance to it.

I personally use body wash instead of soap. My favorite is Purely Northwest Tea Tree Oil Wash. Scrubbing your body with this stuff is amazing! Your whole body will tingle with joy AND you will smell great when you get out of the shower (and that smell lasts a long time).

#5 Deodorant

Fellas!

This is one of the most powerful reasons you might have body odor issues. You might not be using a deodorant that is powerful enough to handle your pungent manly smells.

Let's face it, not all deodorant is created equal. Some help you not sweat, some help you not stink. Whichever one you pick, needs to be powerful enough to handle your personal perspiration levels.

Also, it can be harder than that. Some of us men have sensitive underarm areas and some deodorant and antiperspirants can really irritate that area. For those of you that have more sensitive underarms, I can easily recommend Arm & Hammer Essentials. There is no aluminum and no parabens (This is what irritates our pits). Also, you can get this unscented, or with mild or strong fragrances.

#6 Stinky Balls and Butt

Last but definitely not least fellas, you might have some funky smells brewing from below. Front and Back.

These are 2 areas of your body that tend to be dark and hot and humid. Lots of friction, moisture, darkness...these kinds of spaces lead to stinky odors.

The Solution?!

POWDER!

Guys, let's get real. The market for grooming is exploding, all for us. It's not just baby powder anymore. These companies are making powders specifically for our private areas! No longer do you need to use a powder that smells like a baby and turns into a paste at the slightest amount of moisture. We have powders that will last all day and still be just as beautifully powdery and smooth as when you first applied it. These powders also smell like a man should smell, GREAT!

Guys, at the end of the day, it's not going to matter how much money you have, how good you look, the car you drive or the clothes you wear! If you stink, nobody is going to want to be around you and by avoiding these 6 stinky mistakes, you are going to smell like a freshly bathed tiger - Dangerous yet vulnerable.
