Take it Enaturally. Some how that means to take it Eric Naturally. And it actually does have natural meaning.
A natural sunset.
I will take mine naturally - enaturally.
Natural is becoming an overused phrase. It seems to be a little snobbish. As though a cow or a plant would look at another, and look down on the other for not being natural. Natural is like an elitist concept. Almost like a racial superiority notion. I can just see the royalty with their pinky sticking out saying "my family has been natural for 300 years" hmmph.
I suppose that being born and raised in the country. Makes me better than you city slickers. I suppose because I go for hikes regularly in the woods or desert that I am more wholesome than you. That just kind of does not sound right.
"Organic" is another cool term these days. Funny about that. I am quite certain that I took at least one class in "organic chemistry". And I am certain the bacteria and viruses are organisms. So who cares if something is organic?
Go Green!
What? That is really strange. Why would green be better than brown. Do you think that people that live in rain forests are better than people who live in the desert? We call the ocean "blue". We call the sky blue. Shouldn't we Go Blue?
I admit to having two green cars. What does that mean, that I am green?
Well we use terms in strange ways. A lot like our images of Santa Claus and Thanksgiving. Both were really the result of ad campaigns. And an Easter Bunny laying eggs?
Cool Colors
Let us look at our writing.
I have editors and publishers that overlook my writing. In this place they are rather strict. It somewhat inhibits my ability to write enaturally. It makes me conform in order to attract readers. Very much like the two ad campaigns I just mentioned. Here is what they tell me if I submit for publication and they do not like it:

Well now! I normally do that. Why not. I am a writer, they are editors and publishers. I do my job and they do theirs and together we are fairly successful. They kind of bug me to do this kind of writing full time. I would like to but I am not yet good enough at it to make a firm living.
I take their advice enaturally. That means they are what they are and I am what I am and that is OK!
I was natural when natural was not cool.
So what is enaturally?
Just take your initial and put it in front of natural and take it from there.
What I am saying is that you are natural. And you are naturally the way you are. Fighting this notion and trying to plug yourself into a different mode or look or feel is unnatural. Natural good, unnatural bad.
Let me take a well known friend of mine who went from being a no good rotten drunk to the greatest writer here of all times. This guys site rankings is better than some writing sites altogether. I cannot tell you his name but his initials are Bill Holland.
Well when Bill was a rotten no good bad horrible drunk --- that was not bnatural. What we see now is bnatural. Through a lot of hard work and discipline and in fact letting go. Bill became his bnatural self.
I truly believe that that lady I call Eddy has become enatural right here writing for us. It is like she has found herself. I have watched Marlene find her nitch, and become mnatural.
We all have this natural goodness in us. It is unique and we should all find our natural.
That mountain called "you" is worth discovering.
How to find the "you".
Well it really is not hard in principal. You just get rid of the stuff that is not you. The hard parts are figuring out what that is and then actually kicking the habit that you have acquired.
But there is a trick to it. Find what you do well. Then do that. If you are focused on what your are naturally gifted to do, then you start dropping by the wayside all that stuff that is not you. Think about giving that a shot. Try it in little pieces and see if it does not work well for you.
Think of how retirees often seem serene if they are keeping busy doing what they want. That is because they are finally doing what comes naturally.
Are you being your natural self?
Does what you do every day seem like it is what you should be doing.
You can change your nature.
Really you can. Let me give you a perfect example. I came here to write because I have important things to write about (at least in my head ;-) Then I found out that I was not such a good writer here in this format. But then it came to pass that I wanted to be a good writer here in this format. And the HP changed some of the criteria. And so I naturally fought against that change.
But hey I wanted to be a better writer. So I gradually started following their suggestions/commands. And so I am generally becoming a better writer. And I am enjoying it much more.
So I am a writer. HP are editors and publishers. I may be wrong but I believe that in the real world publishers and editors require some hefty fees. HP does it for me for free. OK we know that they make their cut, but really they do not make it from me.
So I am changing my nature. I am taking instructions and I am becoming a more disciplined writer. In my mind those are good changes. At least it feels right.
Hey I used to be a crazy out of control litigation attorney that took no prisoners and worked on the side that paid me with no questions asked. Now I am a crazy out of control preacher. That espouses love and tolerance and good things. And tries to help people. Not bill them.
So we can change and I have always thought that change is really in all of our natures. Homeostasis just seems to lead to death, prematurely. At least death of the intellect and the very least.
I hope we will naturally learn to love each other. You know just you and me. But also I truly believe that our world is learning to be more natural in love. And that gives me great enatural hope.
