Recently fish oil has received a lot of attention from the health care sector because of the many health benefits. Fish oil contains omega 3-6-9 properties which has been found to be excellent for brain function and can aid with many mental issues that can arise. For the added advantages of fish oil you will need to ingest a fish oil supplement each day by either pill, tablet or liquid supplement.

Fish oil can help to lower cholesterol which will in turn help to keep your cardiovascular system healthy. It has also been proven to assist with brain functions. In this case it can help with depression and anxiety, ADHD and with Alzheimer’s disease.

Fish oil works by acting as a lubricant to the nerves in your brain. By lubricating these nerves they are able to connect and work more efficiently than before. The nerves serve to connect by electrical impulses which work better when there are proper amounts of omega fats in your body.

 It is important for the growing bodies and minds of children to get omega fats included in their diets. The brain of a child, no matter their age is developing at a rapid rate and with the proper amount omega fats their brain can develop, grow and learn more effectively.

Other benefits that fish oil can provide is assisting with weight loss, arthritis, fertility and pregnancy health and skin problems, such as acne or psoriasis. By helping the joints and muscles to work at optimum levels weight loss can be achieved. Studies done by Peter Howe, a professor from the University of South Australia, proved that patients that were given fish oil supplements were able to attain weight loss faster than others that did not take the supplement.When fish oil is consumed in excess it can have undesirable effects that should benoted. Possible allergies and other side effects can occur. As with any type of supplement it is a good idea to consult your doctor before taking a daily dose.

Fish oil contains not only omega 3-6-9 but also  vitamins A, D and E. These can boost your immune system and keep you functioning mentally and physically at your best. It is important to remember that balance and moderation are important for this supplement to work its magic for your body.

      Hey Pompey,

      Yeah it does have some great benefits.

      I take an Alaska Salmon supplement. It is suppose to help with dry skin and help you to continue to look younger. I do see the difference from when I am taking it to when I slack off from time to time and forget to take it. It also helps with my thinking, I'm much quicker while taking it than opposed to when I'm not. I do stick with a smaller dose though since I don't want overdo it.
