The Difference Between The Possible And The Impossible

Updated on May 27, 2011

The difference between the possible and the impossible depends on just how your attitude is towards what you want to achieve.

Lets say you have a desire to do something in your life , but in the back of your mind, it's saying that what you want to do may be possible or maybe totally impossible. How will you ever know if it is possible or impossible if you don't have that positive attitude and give it your best shot?

This possible and impossible thinking is in everyone's lives, one time or another. I know it was in my life and it was only a year and a half ago when I decided to come clean with my addiction to alcohol.

For all those that know me and know what I write about can relate to where I am going to go from here.

I suffered with an addiction to alcohol for so many years, as many others have, suffering the same problem as I did. The problem arises deep down inside the alcoholic, when they know they are doing wrong and doing harm to themselves and their loved ones. We want to be clean and sober, but in our minds we always have that question, "is it possible or impossible to live a life of sobriety again?"

Well, none of us will even know the real truth of our addiction and if it is possible or impossible unless we all try to get sober.

Nothing is impossible if you want it bad enough, and I can sure tell you anything is possible from my own experiences. I found something I thought would never be possible in my life time, and that was finding my sobriety, changing my life around and living that life clean and sober.

I help back from surrendering to my addiction because I would always say to myself, " what is the use, I am too far gone and too addicted to alcohol to ever find it possible to live the clean life. Well, I must tell you that I sure fooled myself and believe it or not, I really didn't give myself enough credit and telling myself that it is totally possible to surrender to my addiction once and for all, but I had to want it so bad that I would do anything possible to get that life I so deserved.

This attitude and believing in yourself for anyone that has an addiction of any kind and wants to surrender to it, let me tell you, first you are not alone and it is possible to get your sobriety back. The only thing you have to do is to want it and have the willingness and desire to achieve it and it will come to you.

So always remember anything is possible in your life and the difference between the possible and the impossible is sometimes merely perception and attitude. It is the ability to dream beyond ourselves. Believe in the Unbelievable. Possibilities, the product of Faith.
