The Latest Dukan Diet Book by Dr Pierre Dukan

A new Dukan Diet book was launched to buy in the UK on 10 November 2011 and it is also available in book format in the US and for Kindle at Amazon.

This book is a follow up to "The Dukan Diet" which was published in the UK a little less than 18 months previously on 13 May 2010 and which was the best selling diet book in the UK in 2010. The North American version "The Dukan Diet: 2 Steps to Lose the Weight, 2 Steps to Keep It Off Forever" was published on 19 April 2011 and this book has regularly appeared in The New York Times Bestselling Books List.

What Does the Dukan Diet Life Plan Provide

The cover says it is "Dukan Made Easy" and the publicity for the book has advised that it has been written to help you fit the best selling weight loss program into your lifestyle. The 256 pages provide:

  • A clear and simple explanation of the four phases of the Dukan Diet
  • A weekly meal planner for each phase of the diet
  • 60 new Dukan recipes with photographs that are delicious and easy to follow
  • Troubleshooting hints and tips that help you stick to the program

I have read the original Dukan Diet book but this one is much easier to follow. The pictures are eye-catching and appealing. Although the book is basically the same as the original (but with pictures and some more recipes added) you can pick it up and flick through it easily to the part you want..

What Do I Think About the Book

I have a copy of the UK version of the Dukan Diet paperback and a copy of this hardcover book and this book is much better laid out, more attractive and easier to read and digest!

The book is in full color, on quality paper and each recipe has its own color photograph, unlike the original paperback which contained no photographs or pictures and was on poor quality paper.

To sum up the book provides an excellent initial introduction to all phases of the Dukan Diet but it is lacking in some of the more detailed information which is provided to customers who sign up for the coaching services. However it does give you more than enough information to be able to follow the plan successfully and lose weight.

The Four Phases of the Dukan Diet

The four phases of the Dukan Diet are Attack, Cruise, Consolidation and Stabilization and they provide you with a blueprint that will help you to lose weight and then keep it off forever. Attack and Cruise are the two weight loss stages and Consolidation and Stabilization are the phases where you first consolidate your weight loss and then stabilize at your target weight for good.
