There's no denying, life is much easier for women who are considered beautiful. Women feel pressure from all sides to keep their bodies as beautiful as possible. The hourglass figure is considered the cusp of glory and women who are blessed enough to be born with is, are admired and envied. Many of the other women who are not fortunate enough to naturally have the 36-24-36 measurements will do almost anything to get that figure. As if often happens when people are pressured, these women get desperate enough to turn to things like waist cinchers to achieve that glorified perfect figure. Do Waist Cinchers Work?

The Kardashians claim it's the key to their envied figures, and the companies that make them will make you want to go out and buy them as soon as possible. People who support waist cinchers claim that they will help you burn fat, remove toxins, reduce your appetite, and most importantly, remove those inches off your waist.

But let's use our own common sense to figure this one out: Waist cinchers are made of latex - a plastic. And what we know about plastic on the body, is that it makes you sweat, a lot. And of course, when you sweat, you lose tons of water. There are no chemical components in the cinchers that will potentially enter your skin to burn the fat underneath it, and definitely, no chemicals that can go through to your stomach to reduce your appetite. If you wear waist cinchers and you see that you've lost an inch or two afterwards, that will almost always be purely water weight and not fat. So waist cinchers do not - cannot - burn the fat under your skin and magically take those pounds off the scale.

What waist cinchers can do, however, is compress your waist and distribute the weight to other parts of your body. The weight is still there, but just on the hips or the calves instead of the stomach. And the fact that waist cinchers compress your weight is what makes them extremely dangerous.

The Risks of Using Waist Cinchers

When you wear a waist cincher, it puts pressure on your ribs and squeezes the organs in your midsection into an even tighter space. This constricts the blood vessels that go to your liver, intestines and kidneys, therefore reducing the amount of blood that flows to these vital organs. What happens next is that these organs begin to have reduced function and in extreme cases the cells of these organs are slowly damaged. Waist cinchers can also permanently change the shape of these vital organs.

Because waist cinchers push your organs upwards, they reduce the capacity of your lungs by 30 to 60%. This will not only lead to shortness of breath, but it can also mean that the cells of your body will not be getting enough oxygen to perform their metabolism. There's no end to the list of damage that this can cause. Your brain can be slowly - and permanently - damaged, you may find yourself losing consciousness erratically, and you're almost guranteed to feel chronically exhasted. In fact, many of the women who are in the habit of wearing waist trainers complain that they feel constantly dizzy, they cannot shake off the tiredness, and their ability to concentrate on things that require a lot of mental alertness significantly decreases. They simply cannot function properly in their daily lives as they chase the envied beauty.

Tips If You Do Choose To Use Waist Trainers

Despite the warning, you may still believe that waist cinchers are worth a try, perhaps the last resort for you. If you do, here are a couple of tips to keep to minimize the possible damage:

-Stay Hydrated

As mentioned before, waist trainers can make you sweat profusely, and if you use them on a consistent basis, you will be losing a significant amount of water. That's why it's important to make sure you replace all this water by keeping your fluid intake high. Drink you 8 glasses even if that cincher makes it very difficult for you to stomach anything. If you ever begin to experience headaches, dry or chapped lips, and other symptoms of dehydration after wearing your waist cincher for a while make sure you increase your water intake as soon as possible.

- Wash The Waist Cincher Regularly

Your sweat, and that the fact that the cincher is made of latex that keeps it warm all the time, makes your waist training companion an ideal environment for bacteria to grow. That's why it's crucial that you keep it as clean as possible. Wash it, by hand and with antibacterial soap, at least three times a week. Make sure it's dry before you wear it again. If you can afford it, it might be a good idea to buy two trainers that you can switch up if you're behind on cleaning one of them.

- Buy the correct size

It might be tempted to buy a smaller size for that waist cincher because you perhaps think that's the best way to speed up the journey to your perfect body. But that will not only make you even more uncomfortable while wearing them, but it can also magnify the possible damage that could be done to your organs. Try your best to buy the size that fits you.

A Better Solution

You've heard it a thousand times, and it's true. The best way for you to get your perfect body is through exercise and proper dieting. It's safer, more effective, and sometimes even fun. And if you do end up getting your dream body, you'll even enjoy it for longer because exercise improves your longevity.

The pressure to be beautiful may make you desperate enough to want to try things like waist cinchers. But these temporary solutions simply do not work. You're better off investing in something that has a better chance of success. Why not use that money for a gym membership or some running shoes?
