Your beautiful body and you
Have you ever noticed the fact that our bodies are the most important and talked about aspect of our lives, right from childhood till the day we die? So much so, that the entire medical industry, health and fitness industry, cosmetic industry, food industry and many more revolve around this simple fact.
Despite knowing that our bodies become the focus of our entire lives, we tend to give it second priority. Forget second priority, many of us even hate our beautiful bodies. Haven't we all gone through those phases when we say "Oh I wish I had a better body"? It is time that we stop doing that and bring about a revolution in the way we perceive our bodies to be. This may sound philosophical, but even if this read can make you think twice before you use that Botox injection again, mission is accomplished. Let's take a look at 8 questions which will hopefully ignite a spark in your mind to live healthy, live beautiful, live free and live natural. You are beautiful and you have a beautiful body.
Your body is beautiful but do you admire it?
Our bodies are often the most under-rated aspects in our lives. Everyone, and I mean everyone has a beautiful body. There are no exceptions, ladies and gentlemen! Unhealthy bodies are only a result of poor lifestyle habits. But then, whose doing is that? You may own a $500,000 car, a $5m home or even a yacht, believe me, there is nothing money can buy that will be as beautiful as your body. Do you admire the beauty of your body every day?
You body loves you but are you loving it back?
Have you gone to work hungover, straight after a big night out? Who am I kidding, we've all done that, haven't we? Have you had busy weeks at work when you much away on junk food? Been sleeping late? Not eating right? Not exercising? The questions are endless, the point I'm trying to get through is that we push our bodies to many limits. It still keeps going and doing what you ask of it. That's because your body loves you! Isn't it time that you showed your body some love too?
Your body depends on you to function but are you dependable?
I don't need to be a doctor to tell you that your body depends on you for all the nutrition, water and other body fuels to function. Your bones and muscles crave for good food and good rest, but do you oblige? Do you reward your body for working hard by resting well, sleeping well and eating well?
Your body is the greatest asset you will ever own but do you value it?
Forget that massive property purchase, forget those investments and forget those balance sheets. There will be no bigger asset in your life, than your body. All your worldly assets will become useless if your body is unable to appreciate them. What good is your car if you can't drive it? What good is the backyard of your home if you can't play in it with your kids? What good is that beachside property if you can't go and enjoy a day of surfing? No good, I say! How much do you value the single most important asset in your life?
Your body is your body but do you understand this?
Your body, is yours to keep. The bank can take away your house, people can steal your money, vandals can break into your shop and all your other possessions can be taken away from you. Everything, but your body. No one, and I mean no one can steal your body away from you. There is no exchange system and there are no refunds in life. Your beautiful body will always be yours, forever and ever! Your body is yours to keep forever. Have you taken this for granted?
Your body will always be better a few years ago but do you realize this?
Confused? I'm glad your are. Don't we always sit and wonder how great our bodies were a few years back? Unless you are superman or superwoman, your body's physical abilities will invariably reduce with age. When people hit their 30s, they'll start reminiscing how fit and agile they were in university when they were 20. When they hit their 50's, they'll reminisce about how hard they could work when they were 30. And when they reach their 80's, well, it's too late to reminisce. Isn't it? Do you enjoy your body to the fullest, today and every single day of your life?
Your body likes variety but do you comply?
Smiling, reading, dancing, swimming, exercising, laughing, jogging, travelling, fishing, golfing, singing, flirting, mating, dating, crying, skiing, painting, playing....................the list goes on. Do you get time for these in your life? Or are you spending day after day in the office?
Your body doesn't deserve to be manipulated but do you acknowledge this?
Nose job, lip job, butt job, boob job, thigh job and much more. Do you really need to have a silicone implant in your butt just because you think it'll make you look more beautiful? Or have a nose job only to make your nose enhance your facial features? Does a lip job really make you more confident? Can't you spend a few months on the treadmill instead of spending thousands of dollars on a tummy tuck? There is a reason why our bodies are not machines and it is because we are human beings. Do you give your body the freedom to be as natural as possible?
