These three aspects are very important to health and each tend to have an effect on the others. These topics will overlap with each other and that is why you have to be balance at all threes levels.
In today's society there is so much stress and pressure going around. The failing economy, pressure to be healthy and beautiful and happy. Perhaps if you can learn how to balance out these three aspects of your life, you may find that the stress load becomes less and that you are really happy within yourself.
Being mentally fit and emotionally in control can sharpen your clarity on life and about yourself. It is important not to let your emotions control your life. You need to learn how to express your emotions as well as not letting them bother you. As for being mentally fit, well studies have shown that people who exercise their brains tend to have a better memory, are able to think faster and have better hand eye coordination.

There are many way to exercise your brain and challenge your mind. Try reading a book every day, or doing puzzles. Crossword puzzles increase your vocabulary and jigsaw puzzles test your problem-solving skills. For those that are in school or like to learn a lot, try writing notes as you are reading or listening and the nre-write the notes. Working on your emotional control is good because it helps you to be open minded and see things or people for what they really are. Emotions can get in the way when an emergency situation or stressful situation takes place. Learn to express your emotions, no need to cry or get angry but just calmly tell them people how you feel. Talking is a great way to relieve stress, so don't keep your emotions bottled up. Learn to be patience and calm because it reduces stress and is needed when dealing with an emergency. If you panic then the situation will not get any better. Control your emotions and think rationally. You may begin to feel less stressed and thus happier.

Being Physically healthy is more than exercise and eating right it is about being comfortable with the way you look. Society puts a lot of pressure on poeple to look a certain way. Some poeple solve this problem by using plastic surgery. Getting surgery only masks the problem in most cases and doesn't solve the emotional issues attached. Last is to get rid of bad eating habits such as eating when your bored or tired or emotional.
You don't need to exercise or diet to the point that it stresses you out. That would defeat the purpose. You know yourself and what you are capable of so do things at your own pace as long as you progress. If eating healthy and exercising aren't enough to boost your self confidence then you'll just have to learn to accept yourself the way you are. Just because you have imperfections doesn't mean that you still can't be perfect in your own way.

People tend to over look spiritual health either because they believe that they are religous enough or not religous at all. Spiritual health has nothing to do with religion per say, but everything to do with your beliefs and how you practice them. If your beliefs are attached to your religion then you still have to practice them. Spiritual health can give a sense of well being and confidence in your beliefs. Being mentally and emotionally fit will also help to improve this area. There are many ways to work on your spiritual health. Here are some things that you can do.

Write down everything that you believe in. Write down your religious beliefs, morals, values, ethics, whether or not you believe in certain areas of science and also your opinions on politics and government. The purpose of this exercise is to get to know yourself. You may find that you believe in more things than you thought or maybe you don't believe in some things that you thought you did. Knowing your beliefs can give you an understanding of yourself.
After writing down your beliefs you need to practice them. Stand up for what you believe in whenever you get a chance or carry out acts that represent or express your beliefs. Example: If you believe in a certain religion than you should either go to church or acknowledge what the religion believes in. If you believe in being polite and helping people than you should probably be polite to people, open doors, let people go first, or even donate money to a good charity. Perhaps volunteer your time to an organization. This step gives you a feeling that you are doing what you believe is right and not just saying it. Action speaks later than words and if you want to reach other people, then it takes action.
Reading and learning more about your beliefs will lead you to the conclusion of whether or not you really believe in it or whether you choose not to. You always want to be informed on what you believe in even if it is something that cannot be proven you still can do some research to fully inform yourself.
Example: If you are religious then read and learn the bible or the torah or whatever scripture belongs to your religion. If you are not religious and you believe in modern science, then you should learn about evolution, modern medicine and other controversial science related topics. Learn about political groups and current controversial subjects.
Another thing that is important to spiritual health is learning how to clear your head. You can do this either through meditation, yoga, or a nice peaceful walk/hike outdoors. Being outside away from distractions can be very calming. It gives you a chance to think clearly and make the right decisions. Making the right decisions about your beliefs is important for continuing your beliefs. Just because you believe in something doesn't mean you have to be closed to changing your beliefs. Do what you can to make yourself spiritually happy, even if that means not being spiritual at all.
