Understanding Fear

Updated on March 7, 2010

In order to truly understand fear, the first step is in recognizing that fear isn't as bad as it seems. What exactly do I mean by this? Fear is actually an extension of love. I know that may sound a little strange, but give this a little thought, and be open minded about it. Know that fear is loved as well. Know that fear IS LOVE. For there is only love. It is the fear of the fear that keeps it stuck. In other words, it is the resistance to this "fear" that keeps it from transforming into an expression of love.

Love is the highest vibrational level , for love is infinite so this vibrational level can grow higher and higher and never end. Fear is merely a lower vibrational energy of this infinite love. It can be highly beneficial to talk to your fear. Reassure it that it too is loved. It too IS LOVE. Fully embrace it and love it like you would a small child, and you will raise it to a higher vibrational level. The level of pure love. That is why it is important to get in touch with your "dark side". For your "dark side" is merely fear afraid to express itself as love because you think you "shouldn't" have certain feelings or are afraid of certain feelings. Once you truly transform this, you will find there was nothing to really fear in the first place.

Also, this allows you to fully appreciate the full magnitude of love. For without the lower vibrations, the higher vibrations wouldn't be as much appreciated. So appreciate, and even love these lower vibrations for what they are (merely a way to fully appreciate the full magnitude of love) and then you will truly transform that "fear" to a higher vibrational level like I said earlier.

Sometimes repetition of the same ideas is important to fully understand it. I believe that even God appreciates fear because it gives Himself/Herself/Itself a greater appreciation of His own creations. It probably brings great joy to Spirit when we fully understand this lesson and are able to transcend ourselves to a higher level. For if this polarity of love and fear did not exist, we wouldn't be able to fully experience love in the grandest magnitude if there was nothing else to choose from. But just know that in the highest sense, love is all there is. For Spirit is love, and we are the perfect expression of this love. We are what Spirit is, and that is love. We are made in the image and likeness of Spirit/God/the Universe, which is love. In truth, there is only one love.
