"We're All Ticking Bombs Waiting to Happen"

Updated on April 8, 2010

"We're All Ticking Time Bombs Waitng To Happen"

We're ticking time bombs waiting to happen is the assumption of someone that's deeply depressed. I know because i use to think that way. When we're young  we think we will live forever; but when we get olsder  and began to have illness or sickness we think ,ore about our mortality. A person that suffers depression, think of themselves as bombs set on a timer , waiting to explode. They often ponder the thoughts of death, we all know that one day it will happen to all of us, because we weren't put here on earth to live for ever. Just as Jesus died and over came, we all have t date with with destiny and our own mortality.  We all must over come death by the resurrection some day. When you're depressed , I think you think about death more, because all the positive actions and thoughts has evaded you. Being depressed or suffering from the depression is like being tied to a run away roller coaster, that you have no control over.  Your life seem to be out of control, and no matter how hard you try,to turn on the the positive switch, the negative replays over and over again.

People with depression have a busy brain, that's always thinking negative and sometimes very frightening thoughts. People with depression is always thinking what if this happens or that happens and they can't control it.  But you cannot tell the person with the depression, that they think this way because their minds want except anything else. with a chemical imbalance of the brain you into think doom and gloom and without hope, you don't want to think like this but until you get help, you can't do any better. Most time when they think all the horrible things are going to have 99% of the time it is all in their heads. The mind is the culprit that's scaring you to death about what may happen, in other words , logic has escape your grasp. To be perfectly honest , we are all like time bombs, waiting to explode because we are on a timer and the time is up on this earth ; we go to a better place hopefully. The people that suffer this debilitating disease must seek out help if they want to keep their sanity and live some what of a normal life style here on earth.  By living for God and living according to Gods word and keeping our lives in a godly perspective and living each day like it's our last one,who knows it could be, but try to get out of life all that we can by counting our blessings and being thankful for the goodness of God.

Thank you Benny Faye! I needed this today. When I saw the title I knew I was meant to read this. I have been paralyzing myself with fear, and asking if I need to get help. One says yes, another says no. I needed an honest opinion, and that's what I got here today. Thank you for writing this.

That was so true and timely. Even though I am not depressed now I know what it feels like. People need to find a relationship with Jesus Christ who will give them hope but even then real depression can creep up on you and require professional help. I am glad you are where I know I can find you Benny Faye. You help alot of people with your words of wisdom. I hope someone is there for you too, because I love you as my christian sister in Christ who has helped me too.
