Whatever will be-Will Be

Updated on July 11, 2017

Today's Journal Entry

Day in - day out

My heart cries

Begging, pleading
Going through the motions
Living a life
In reality there is little life
There is only existence
An empty void existence
It has no end
Cannot be filled
Praying that just once
The universe would show me
Allow me to experience
What it feels like
To not be in want
To not shudder
When the phone rings
Wondering which bill collector calls
Ambition is gone
Will to care is gone
Love my family dearly
But all care is lost
Whatever will be -will be

Go through the motions
Pretend I care
Inside I have nothing
Constant struggle
All seems lost
All to no avail
Children, grandchildren
Great grandchildren
Help them live
A life without struggle
No plans, no goals
Just floating
Going with the flow
Whatever will be -will be.

If I Were You

I understand how you feel. This poem really talks to the heart.
