When You Become You...The incredible feeling of realizing your self

Updated on November 10, 2013

Life without passion is like climbing:

It's what you believe that counts!

Change what you believe and you change your life!!!

A thought conceived

One Last Thought...Imagine the root of the "Tree of Life" begins within!

Smile! It can Happen to you too!
Smile! It can Happen to you too! | Source

Oh What A Feeling

I finally realized the change within,

I realized who I am

It was a feeling they said would come

And oh what a feeling it is!

It started with just one thought,

the thought of potentiality

the possibility that was always present

At first I only thought I knew.

But when I learned what I did not know

I realized all I needed.

I looked in so many places, all external

I searched for a physical reality

based on dreams and desires of my conditioning.

I could not let the old images go,

Attachment was too intense, seemingly real.

Years and years go by and with hope, I try.

Then Yoda says…”Do or Do not, there is no try.”

I cannot understand, reality camouflaged, hidden

Then, ever present secrets revealed

Purpose and passion reignite to higher flame

Power flows as never before, humbly yet forceful

Thoughts too, change, as feelings heighten

And bit by bit, image by image, the story changes

Connecting at an unbelievable rate to co-create new form

Yes, now was a special moment though no different really

this reality has always been available

Poetic perhaps, but truly incredible

Engaged as never before, new in perspective

And there for the taking…and giving.

It's happening for me

And I offer it to you.

Look in as through a potting shed window

To see the seed, the beauty of the soul

Waiting for the warmth of the sun,

Waiting for you to nurture it with love!

Oh, how grand it is,

When you experience you!

Gratefully, your comments are desired and welcome! Peace Be With You!

I came to see your hubs since you have commented on one of mine, and this one caught my eye because the title is similar in theme to the hub of mine that you read. I think that is all too easy to look for the external things in life to not only define us, but to bring our happiness. But, I think for there to be more happy moments than not, one must understand one's own self first. External factors are too unpredictable.

      Thank you ladydeonne!

And congratulations to you too! I'm enjoying your line "the refinement of your soul through time." That's just sitting very well with me right now!

      Hi Beth37!

Yes, those curve balls can be uncanny, especially in their intensity and timing. I have no doubt you will experience your epiphany when your perception of the pitches life throws at you changes. Remember, the greatest hitters in the game of baseball, the ones that are inducted into the hall of fame only hit the ball safely 1 out of every three times at bat. The same is true of the game of life and the secret of the batters success is fundamentally the same for us. Their secret? They have learned how to keep getting into the batters box no matter what pitch is thrown to them and they have learned to "wait" on them, letting the bad ones go for balls and swinging at the strikes. Even then they know that hitting the pitches safely 33% of the time will get them where they want to go and to provide joy for everybody in the game. (except the opposing pitcher of course. LOL)

Let the bad pitches pass you by and swing at the ones that bring you joy and I guarantee each one you hit will be your newest epiphany!

Blessings and peace be with you!

Interesting. I thought I knew who I was then life threw me a curve ball and left me wondering. I am hoping I will soon have an epiphany like yours.

You know CJ, it is all too common, isn't it?

I know we all have our own paths to walk, but sometimes I wonder why it always has to be our experience? Why don't we learn from others? Then again, as you say, the release is awesome! We probably wouldn't experience that as much if we did learn from others, eh?

I guess I would have preferred to learn it a little earlier though!

      thank you for commenting!

Hi Sharon and thank you so much for your kind words!

Being who we are is often the most difficult task we face. I found, for me, that when I adopted a more grateful attitude about life and other people I began to experience a little more of what "me" had to offer the world. Now it is my pleasure...no privilege to serve by just being!

Brother David Steindl-Rast says the one of the greatest blessings that comes from gratefulness is the gift which is returned to us when people are blessed just by our presence!

Thank you for reading my words and sharing this time with me!

"I looked in so many places, all external..."

Isn't this all too common? It's such a release when we experience the reality of the internal! Thank you

      Hi Bill!

And thank you. Each word I'm given is not my own. I'm but a steward for a time and now I know the feeling associated with the gift!

Perhaps 2013 is the year we will meet!

      See you on the pages!
