WHAT,Where and WHY!

While Walking the Cross in over 60 cities in Texas,Colorado, and New Mexico I began to see a pattern to peoples dreams, ideals, excitement, enthusiasm and even Christianity.

*Dreams-"I wish I could just leave everything behind and go where God sends me.",

*Ideals-"Its so refreshing to see someone out sharing their faith. If more people would do that it would be a better world."

*Excitement-"When I saw you I thought I was seeing things. I didn't know if I was seeing an angel or what.": "How do you do it?": "Where do you sleep at night?"

*Enthusiam- " "How do you support yourself?" I'd like to help you. What do you need? "Do you ever come speak at churches?"

*Christianity- What denomination are you? Don't you know Jesus already finished His work. He is risen! Why are carrying that cross? I didn't know if you were doing it for Jesus or if you are a KU Klux Klan member." (fortunately that statement or its variation is not felt often.) One person though accused me of racial prejudice even though I pointed out that the message I carry with the Cross is printed on the Cross.

Walking with a cross on the Chisholm Trail

Have you seen anything like this before?

Sometimes when people stop their cars and spend a few minutes talking to me they tell me they saw someone walking with a cross years ago and they can usually tell me about how many years, about where they saw them and what they were thinking about at the time. They also tell me thoughts that ran through their head about the incident. Why is all that information available from passing a person on the road carrying a cross?

Have you seen anything like this before. Can you tell us where and when? Any other thoughts about it?

What do you think about the Holy Spirit directing you that day and getting your attention.

My friend Cele calls it a target. He says when he wears his bike vest with Jesus written on it and patches of crosses and scripture portions, he is wearing his target.

I liked that phraseology, a target, the cross on my shoulders as a man walking down the road carrying and becoming a target. Not to shoot at, but to wonder about? I hope God will focus your attention to the one who died on the cross to pay for your sins. God really did love you very much didn't he?
