Why You Need a Whole House Fluoride Removing Water Filtration System

If You Have Fluoridated Municipal Water You Need to Know This

In nearly every city in America that has a municipal water fluoridation program, your water is fluoridated with hexafluorosilicic acid (or hydrofluorosilicic acid). If you don't know what this chemical is and where it comes from, I'm going to give you an awakening that you may not like. But first, let me point out, when water fluoridation programs began, it was established by the agencies in the know (ie EPA and others) that 7 ppm (aka mg/L) of fluoride was a "safe" level. A few years later, it was decided that 7 ppm was too high, and that was dropped to 4 ppm. Then again, more recently it was decided that 4 ppm was too high, and it was again dropped to 1 ppm. Now, many people are saying 1 ppm is too high, and many municipalities have dropped it down to 0.7 ppm. My point in telling you this is, are you going to trust government agencies that tell you that one concentration is "safe" and then they continually keep changing their minds about what "safe" really is? My belief when it comes to fluoride is that "safe" is ZERO!!! "

Now, more about hexafluorosilicic acid. This is highly toxic industrial waste that is a waste by product of phosphate mining operations for the fertilizer industry, nuclear weapons manufacturing, and aluminum manufacturing processes. The reason that this is being used in water fluoridation programs is because in order for these companies to dispose of it, it is considered "Hazardous Waste." Anything that is designated as "Hazardous Waste" costs tremendous amoounts of money to dispose of properly. However, if it is sold to municipal water treatment plants, it is no longer considered "Hazardous Waste," it is now considered a product.

In 1992 in Hooper Bay, Alaska a 41 year old man died from fluoride poisoning directly traced to a malfunctioning water fluoridation treatment system. 276 other persons were taken ill as a result of the same incident. How soon until your municipalities water fluoridation treatment system starts a disaster in your area? Go to your water authority and ask them if you can inspect the piping and all the connections that are involved with your water fluoridation program. Chances are that you'll find many of them will be corroded, as not only is fluoride one of the most toxic chemicals on the planet, it is also one of the most corrosive.

"Water fluoridation is the ideal solution for industry's fluoride waste disposal problem. Like the tall smokestack introduced a decade earlier, it diverts and disperses pollutants far and wide. Chemicals that would cost $7,000 per tanker to dispose of are sold instead to cities at $265 to at least $722 per ton. Consequently, the phosphate fertilizer manufacturers invest millions of dollars in grants and lobbying of government officials to promote water fluoridation. - "Fluoridation: License to Dump Toxic Waste In The Name of Public Health", Health Action Network, Fluoride Report No. 4, Jan (1997)" Source: Just Think It

If you go to a waste water treatment plant and watch one of the tanker trucks that pulls in to offload the hexafluorosilicic acid, you soon notice that the trucks are labeled with D.O.T.(Department of Transportation) signage that indicates that the contents of the truck are toxic and harzardous. In fact so hazardous that hexafluorosilicic acid spills must be cleaned up by a HazMat team, and if the acid isn't neutralized before it is cleaned up, it will eat through concrete. Nice to know that you put this stuff in your mouth, shower with it, wash your food in it, cook your food in it, and wash your clothes and dishes in it. So, they EPA says 0.7 ppm is safe, but how many ppm are you really ingesting on a daily basis? You should know that fluoride is bioaccumulative (ie it accumulates in the organs in the body).

"Fluorides are general protoplasmic poisons, probably because of their capacity to modify the metabolism of cells by changing the permeability of the cell membrane and by inhibiting certain enzyme systems" Source. - Journal of the American Medical Association, Sept 18, 1943, Editorial

"Most of western Europe has rejected fluoridation on the grounds that it is unsafe. In 1971, after 11 years of testing, Sweden's Nobel Medical Institute recommended against fluoridation, and the process was banned. The Netherlands outlawed the practice in 1976, after 23 years of tests. France decided against it after consulting with its Pasteur Institute and West Germany, now Germany, rejected the practice because the recommended dosage of 1 ppm was "too close to the dose at which long-term damage to the human body is to be expected." Dr. Lee sums it up: "All of western Europe, except one or two test towns in Spain, has abandoned fluoride as a public health plan. It is not put in the water anywhere. They all established test cities and found that the benefits did not occur and the toxicity was evident." Source: Just Think It

Toxic Toothpaste

"The lethal dose of NaF (an artificial fluoride) is 50 times smaller than that of CaF2 (a naturally-occurring fluoride). - Dr. Hardy Limeback, biochemist and Professor of Dentistry, University of Toronto, former consultant to the Canadian Dental Association" Source: Just Think It

It's bad enough that your water probably contains fluoride, but most commercially available toothpaste preparations do also. Not only do they contian fluoride, but many of the most popular brands containe microscopic particles of HDPE (high density polyethelthylene). Look for another article soon about this issue.

So, "why are those things bad", you might ask? For one thing, there is enough fluoride in a tube of toothpaste to kill a child. Every commerically available toothpaste preparation that contains fluoride in the USA has a mandatory health warning on the label that says "Keep out of reach of children under 6 years old. If more than is needed for brushing is swallowed get medical help immediately or call your local poison control center." How many parents do you think are actually aware of this warning label?

Also, could someone please explain to me why the FDA regulates what food is safe for us to consume, but there is not now, nor has there ever been ANY fluoride contianing product that has been approved by the FDA.

How We Were All Duped by the EPA and the CDC

It's amazing how government agencies can modify the truth to suit their own agenda regardless of who they hurt. Here's how water fluoridation programs started from the beginning. It was observed that certain groups of people living in areas where there water had slightly elevated concentrations of naturally occurring fluoride (ie calcium fluoride) had lower incidences of dental caries (cavities) than other populations. You won't find calcium fluoride added to your drinking water, or used in your toothpaste preparations. In toothpaste generally the form found is either sodium fluoride or sodium fluorophosphate. Sodium fluoride is made by reacting sodium hydroxide with hexafluorosilicic acid to produce sodium fluorosilicate. This can also be produced by reacting NaOH +HF->NaF + H20 (sodium hydroxide plus hydrofluoric acid yeilds sodium fluoride plus water). This is generally an expensive method due to the cost of the raw materials among other things.

Most importantly, is that neither the fluoride in your drinking water, nor the fluoride in your toothpaste is "naturally occurring fluoride." It is all made from toxic chemicals that are used in industrial operations. Hydrofluoric acid is used in many semi-conductor manufacturing operations because it etches silicon (ie glass) so well. It is also a calcium scavenger. If you got HF on your skin, #1 you need to get into a safety shower immediately, you need to apply liberal coatings of calcium gluconate to the affected area, and #3 you need to get immediate medical attention at a facility that knows how to treat HF exposure. HF isn't like other acids, the burning doesn't start immediately, it might take up to 24 hours. An exposure to a quarter sized drop of 49% HF can be fatal if not treated immediately. If you inhale HF you will most likely die no matter what treatment you receive. If you get HF in your eyes, you will most likely go blind no matter what the treatment. This is SERIOUS stuff folks!!!

My very best advice to you is that if you have municipally fluoridated water, you NEED to get a whole house fluoride removing water system as soon as possible. You should also try to call or write your municipal water company and request that they pay it because you never volunteered to be medicated with toxic waste without your consent.
