You are What you Think

What the Bleep Trailer

Change your mind

Have you ever wondered why some people are happier that others or why no matter what some people do, they never seem to find happiness. Did you ever think that maybe the person that cannot find happiness was just unlucky? Or maybe they are being punished in some way. Maybe not. We all have our dues to pay in a sense. Do you think that all those happy people are dwelling on the negative aspects of their lives. Probably not. In fact I see lots of happy people and most I know do not live convention 9-5 lives.

They are not into the instant gratification society mode They wont buy something because they think they deserve it. Or because its the new fashion. They know from experience that happiness comes from with-in, You cant really seek happiness. You must choose to be happy. You cannot always let society dictate the way you dress think and dominate your your personality. Well you can but chances are this road may not lead to happiness. Are you aware of what you are thinking? I mean really what you are thinking. I say most people are not aware of the messages they are telling themselves everyday. If you stop for a moment and try to listen to what your mind is telling you. You may be surprised! Where do these thoughts come from? Why are you telling your self these things. In my opinion these thoughts can come from many of different places. Your parents, the TV shows you watch, the music you listen to etc.

Once you become aware of the thoughts you are telling your self daily. You can attempt to change them. Actually its pretty easy, I think the hard part is becoming aware of what exactly you are telling yourself. After you figure out and are aware enough to know, when you are thinking the thoughts you would like to change. Now its time to tell yourself the words you would like to be telling your self all the time. So books I have read have called this positive affirmations. I am not sure why but I prefer just to call them positive thoughts or sayings. Create a few that contradict the thoughts that are running around in your head, Sure you can write them down. If you live alone you can post these sayings around but I like to keep my sayings private. After you do this for a while, for me I have noticed that either the thought pattern changes meaning that I stop thinking those destructive thoughts. Or the thoughts I do not want to continual keep thinking get stronger lets say, this is when I switch the phrase. If it doesn't stick I switch it. See each phrase you choose has its own vibrational essence and it could well be that that particular vibration just wont stick. Just the words Yes its that easy! Try not to change over night. Change can be subtle, You may not notice it at first, your friends will. Try it you may find that you can change your thought pattern and change your life.

It took me a really long time to learn this, but I agree with you. I spent the first 38 years of my life wrapped up in a crazy mentality of work, buy, sleep. Work, buy, sleep. It took cancer to wake my ass up. Now, well, I basically live by the words you have written in this hub.

In the words of The Clash: "You gotta drag yourself to work, drug yourself to sleep, your dead from the neck up, by the middle of the week."
