It was once said that there are only two certainties in life: Death and Taxes.  As such, one should prepare for death.  Preparing for death, in my case, means to have your funeral or burial arrangements made, having a Will, and making sure that as many of the foreseeable "loose ends" are tied up as possible so my family will not have to endure much of the unpleasantness of losing a loved one.

I say let it come on gradually and enjoy life now while we are able to. There are so many things that we are currently unundated with in our lives, why worry about the inevitable. When it happens it is going to happen unfortunately. So live one day at a time for now and try to enjoy family and friends while we still have today at hand. For we do not know what tomorrow is going to bring. This is at least my views on the subject.

As an organ donor I have given a DNR letter to my family physician so that in the case where extra-ordinary means are required, they are not requested nor desired nor needed. I have also instructed my wife not to prevent my last wishes from being carried out so that my organs might benefit others.

Agree with Melissa and Dave. My dad, who was an attorney advised everyone to be prepared by having a will, and as a registered nurse, I can say that everyone should have a living will and advance directives to tell others what kind of life support they want should they not be able to speak for themselves.
