In today's society you can't turn on the TV without seeing an ad for losing weight. Most of these adds consist of low carb or no carb dieting techniques. Though this may cause you to lose some weight initially. It is not healthy nor are you losing fat. In most of these diets the mindset is that if the body does not have its first energy source,then it will automatically resort to burning fat. This however is not the case. Instead it begins to burn muscle and go into starvation mode. As a nutrition major I have encountered many clients who argue that no carbs is the only way to lose weight.
