Hi Billy, I have degenerative spinal arthritis. Sometimes, the pain radiated down into my hips so bad, I couldn't sit or walk for long, but after a doctor punctured my spine with a routine spinal block (to ease the chronic pain), I got scared and started taking charge of my own pain. I lost the extra weight I was carrying and started moving. At first, walking a 1/4 mile, then a 1/2, then increasing every week as I felt better.
I now run 3 miles a day with my dog who also has arthritis. We have never felt better. You gotta get those joints moving to feel good again! Sure, it took me three years to get where I am, but where would I be if I hadn't started? (I'm 56)
