These many benefits of soy lecithin have encouraged weight loss experts to use soy lecithin in slimming and weight loss diets because of its most important function of removal of fat stored inside our body. Moreover, it helps in weight loss in fast way because it helps in regulation of digestive system and speeding up the process of intestinal absorption of nutrients, essential vitamins, and minerals. Soy lecithin protects our liver, decreases bad cholesterol, facilitates blood circulation, and improves memory capacity and mental performance and therefore has become a popular dietary supplement. Soy lecithin is an all-natural complex of phospholipids that is made up from oil extracted from the soybeans. Soya lecithin’s historical origin is in the East but has now become really popular in European and American countries due to its many health benefits. Lecithin is not a vitamin but contains components that can be attributed to affect a kind of vitamin. These elements are essential fatty acids.

These essential fatty acids of lecithin facilitate the transport of cholesterol. Also phosphatidylcholine contained in soya lecithin decreases the intestinal absorption of fats and stimulates the body's ability to remove the fat at a rapid rate. Other important benefit of phosphatidylcholine is that it enhances liver health and function.

Soy lecithin has a selective action on the lipoproteins that carry cholesterol in the blood, it reduces high levels of lipoproteins LDL while raising the level of HDL lipoproteins favoring the removal of excess cellular cholesterol.

Besides this basic function, there are many other noteworthy benefits of soy lecithin. It also helps in digestion and absorption of fat-soluble vitamins namely vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E, vitamin K, and lipids. Soya lecithin enhances the health and beauty of skin maintaining its elasticity and keeping it hydrated.

Soy Lecithin also helps keep a smooth transmission of nerve impulses and therefore it becomes a valuable restorative for our nervous system and this is the reason how soya lecithin helps in improving memory and mental performance. Moreover, phosphatidylcholine contained in soy lecithin is important for the formation and maintenance of brain neurotransmitters between neurons, as it exerts a major action on each stage of memory development and mental activity and performance.

Lecithin phospholipids protect the liver cell membranes, therefore, preventing accumulation of fatty deposits in the liver. It also helps the liver in prevention of abuse-related disorders like alcohol, snuff, and drugs harmful for the liver.

Highly bioavailable minerals present in soy lecithin namely iron, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium, potassium, and some trace amounts of zinc, selenium, copper, and strontium are recommended for use in food for prevention of cerebral vascular accident and reduction of risk of thrombus formation.

It is interesting to note that vitamin E contained in soybean lecithin creates antioxidant properties, which protects our body from both free radical formation and polyunsaturated fatty acids. Soy lecithin is beneficial in tissue renewal and regeneration of cells.

Least but not last, soy based products like soy ice cream, soy sandwiches, soy milk, soy sauce, and other low fat soy foods are not harmful but have extraordinary benefits. Soy lecithin is an important element in the formation of a balanced diet rich in nutrition.

Princessa, soy is really a great food. We also eat a lot of recipes made in soy here in India. Soya bean chaps and soya granules are my favorite dishes in main course. Plus one more thing I am also intolerant to cow's milk. I have not drank milk since 15 years now. My tummy loves curd and butter milk.

Interesting information like always soni. I am intolerant to cow's milk and only drink soy milk and soy desserts and yougurts but I've never considered that maybe that is what helps me to keep a healthy weight!

I just had soy chaps with Punjabi masala tadka. My wife make them so delicious. Today, I was sleeping when she made this for us. Whenever the next time, she will make it, I will shoot a video and give it a title "how to make a soy chap recipe" and upload it on youtube. Then, I will also publish a hub with how to make that recipe and include that video in my hub. Tell me Ethel how it will be. Is it a nice idea?

I have also some problems with dairy products, especially milk and I like eating soy chaps which are delicious when made with Punjabi masala tadka and gravy. I will try to write a soybean chap recipe and share some more benefits of eating that. Thanks Veronica for your nice comment.

Due to our sensitivity to diary, my family and I have had to consume soy products such as soy milk and cheese. I've noticed that ever since I've switched over, that I've lost a considerable amount of wieght. Thanks for this great information.
