    Yes, definitely!! My father is 74 years old and he is back to reading avidly now else it would have been very difficult to pass his time specially after my mother passed away and all the rest in the family busy with respctive professional or educational commitments.

    Absolutely.  Without a hobby we would go nuts.

    Retirement is for pursuing those passions that have been on the backburner for years! ( Hobbies, friends, grandchildren travel or learning something new)  TV and inactivity get old and boring. Bored people are uninteresting and dull-minded.
