Sadly, it's an epidemic that we've allowed to grow in the United States and other countries. It's not an epidemic in the way of it being "catchy." However, it is so prevalent that it's called an epidemic.
I'm afraid so. Many parents are sadly undereducated in what children should eat. I see little kids all the time sucking on pop cans and sugary junk. And parents don't make the connection between bad behavior and bad food, much less the weight issues.
