Pregnancy vs Abortion choose
A friend of mine found out recently that she is pregnant. She isn't ready for another child neither is her boyfriend. He wants the foetus aborted and she doesn't.
She doesn't believe in it and doesn't want to do it.
What advice would you give?
I'd tell her she's the one who has to live with the choice either way and that she needs to do what is best for herself. There are over 500,000 children in the foster care system already, so I don't advocate adoption, but if she were to ask I would explain that there may be just as many regrets no matter which she chooses. It isn't a choice anyone would be able to make for her.
The best way for me to answer this is by sharing my hub on this issue: http://thomasczech.hubpages.com/hub/Abo … h-revealed please read it and leave a comment if you like
The man's vote doesn't count.
Legally in the U.S. only the woman has the right to make such a choice. Even if the man wanted his girlfriend to have a child he could not force her to carry a child to term. Legally it's her body and her choice.
There is no such thing as an accidental birth. A birth takes place only if the (woman) wants it to. It's not up for discussion.
However I'm sure many people may be wondering in this day of modern medicine and multiple birth control methods along with the Plan B pill...etc How is it possible for the same woman to have two unplanned pregnancies out of wedlock?
Were both people doing everything possible to avoid this scenario? Hopefully after she has the child she won't tell it that their father didn't want him or her.

Abortion rights have always interested me. There are many reasons why people have them. I have heard that, in other countries, people will have an abortion as soon as they find the sex of the baby to be female. Do we have abortions for such reasons of vanity, here in the US? How much freedom should...

Is it possible for pro-life and pro-choice people to find any common ground? Too often, the argument becomes fixated on the morality and legality of abortion, which are both worthwhile topics. But in the end, I think that almost all Americans would like to reduce the number of abortions. So why...

Do you believe that abortion is murder or is it just a choice?

Is abortion about women’s right or is it about the right to life?I get so mixed up in that debate, it would seem that the right to life outweighs any right of personal choice, but many see it much different. What is your opinion about abortion? What supersedes what? Do men have a right to a...

What are your personal beliefs on abortion? Not the political side of whether it should or should not be legal, but how do you feel about it on a personal level? If you or your partner were faced with an unexpected pregnancy how would you feel about terminating? At what point do you believe that a...

Presently, a woman has, by law, the freedom to end her pregnancy. After all, its her life and her body. Is this issue, free-choice abortion, a matter of politics? Social science/politics is about what is good for society as a whole. Is abortion good or bad in the light of what is best for...
