Why is that the Canadian Diabetes Association only cover testing supplies ?
The program you have to apply for to cover the cost is the Ontario Monitoring for Health Program, I am on the Ontario Disability Support program which under the Ontario Drug Benefit I have 100% coverage for my testing supplies the only thing that is NOT covered is my needle tips for my Insulin which I can only get in a box of 100, ODSP only covers $7.86 for lancets, needle tips, wipes 1 Lancet a day,2 needle tips per week and 4 wipes per day, now the needle tips run me 40 to 50 $ per purchase, I think there is something wrong there, Any Ideas out there ?
I don't know, but I do think it is insane that your government is giving free needles to addicts for their "disease" but won't give it to diabetics for free.
