12 weeks since THR and still sore and walking with a cane. Is this normal?
I am 54, had left THR in May that went extremely well. Was back to normal activity within a month. Had right THR in August. I've been going to PT, I faithfully do my exercises twice a day. At 12 weeks post surgery I have to walk with a cane and I still have soreness and tightness in and around groin and in the joint. I havent walked a lot because I tire quickly and it's uncomfortable. I haven't found a perfect mix of exercise/stretching to keep the joint flexible. It always feels tight and restricted. Is this normal recovery? Would walking more help?
