Some ideas of what you should be eating when on a gerd diet

Do You Have Acid Reflux Or Gerd? What Have You Done That Works Or Doesn't Work?

Honestly I know many people are reluctant to have a medical procedure done even if the procedure is simple. That is why so many seek out the holistic approach first. Some gerd diets can be very restrictive making them hard to follow on a daily basis.

What have you tried? I'd love to know exactly what you have tried. Let me know what worked for you long term, short term or not at all.

The holistic view is something I completely believe in. Although I know it works for the majority of people I also know it might not work for some. That is why "The Heartburn No More system" which is a 150 page downloadable e-book, gives you a money back guarantee. Return it if it doesn't work. Really, just return it. You can find it here and Achieve LASTING Freedom From All Digestive Disorders! Click link below for more details.

I want you to be happy. I want your comments on all your experiences regarding gerd and acid reflux. We can help others by sharing the information. Comment in the guest book below. I'd love to hear from you!

Interesting Video From Mark Hyman, M.D. - Finding The Root Of The Problem

He doesn't believe in masking the problem, but finding the cause of the problem. He believes it starts internally as an inflammation. Find it and then know how to treat. He definitely has a holistic approach.

Can A Cough Be A Sign Of Acid Reflux Or Gerd?

When Your Child Has A Persistent Cough.

You may think of many things when you or your child has a persistent cough, but it's usually not acid reflux or gerd. However that is entirely possible and something to investigate. Often the child with the chronic cough may be diagnosed with asthma.

Apparently what happens is that the reflux can cause the chronic cough or asthma which can also lead to a condition known as Barrett's esophagus, a pre-cancerous condition(see more on this at ). Reflux more than likely begins the process, causing the asthma. The medications the doctor prescribe for asthma exacerbates the reflux, creating a cycle.

One way of alleviating the issues is to have laproscopic fundoplication operation which can stop and eliminate the reflux. The asthma is eliminated as well.

A chronic cough can be an indicator that your reflux is out of control...this can be very dangerous to your health and should be investigated.

Gerd Linked To Obesity In Women

Now don't get me wrong, not all women with gerd are obese by any means. My daughter has it and she is not overweight at all. All this study found was that gerd is found in many obese women.

The study was published in the World Journal of Gastroenterology. The research group was from the University La Sapienza of Rome and was led by a Dr. Corazziari.

The researchers found when they compared obese woman to the average population, that being obese or even somewhat overweight are risk factors for GERD. However they did not find this to be true in men.

The inference is that if women control their weight they may be able to control their gerd.

My feelings are that diet (what you eat, but not necessarily how much you eat) definitely can play a role in many aspects of this disease. Other factors are physiological and can be repaired with surgery,

I'm a regular sufferer of reflux, heart burn and indigestion and its painful and sometimes to the point of debilitating. Iâve had time when the pain has been so immense that Iâve almost fainted. And there is no real magical cure or permanent treatment. Over the years I've taken every form of medication and been to see so many doctors none of which have really helped. What Iâve learnt is that it really about healthy eating and no overindulgence. I've turned to natural food remedies and over the past few years it's been high carb and fiber diets. I document it at my blog which can be found at indigestion symptoms . The methods seemed to have worked well for me but I still do get bouts of reflux now and then. Thanks for the useful information. I will try some of the remedies and ideas youâve put forward and will report back if successful. Thanks again.
