Introduction

Some activities in life will suck the energy out of you. If you want to stay energetic, cheerful and happy then you must be careful with these activities. We are the creation of our habits and they build our future. Make sure you are not controlled by below-mentioned activities.

In this article, I will like to share five such behaviours which will drain your energy. Also, learn how to protect yourself from them. So, let’s get started.

Who will drain your energy?
Who will drain your energy?

Replying To Someone’s Troll In Social Media Post

How many times you have replied to someone’s nasty comments in social media? Are you someone who believe in tit for tat? There was a time when I was active on social media and I use to actively participate in trolling comments.

But lucky, I realised trolling is part of life for someone and they don’t have anything else to do on social media. I have seen some people who just criticize others especially to the political leaders for whatever they do. Even if something good will happen, they will still speak badly about them.

If you are one of them then you are wasting your time and energy. Try to use social media effectively and make social media a source of income and not a troll. Stop participating in those events and save your energy.

Watching Meaningless Movies

How many movies do you watch in a week? Do you waste time, money and energy just by watching meaningless movies each day on Hotstar and Netflix? If you are doing so then please be careful.

You see, when you work hard, you make your organization rich. When you purchase an expensive car, you make the car manufacturer rich. Same way, when you watch meaningless movies over and over again you make entertainers, director, producers and OTT platforms rich.
The fact is it looks cool to watch movies in theatres and on Netflix but you are draining your energy by doing so as after watching movies you will think this and that.

By Surrounding Yourself In Negative Environment

Never underestimate the power of the environment around you. As this is quite a common thing to hear, you will be an average of five people you surround yourself with.

Today we are surrounded by many mediums, be it television, mobile, newspaper, internet, movies, serials etc. Although we know morning is the most crucial time for us yet we just watch the news channels and get frustrated.

Instead of these activities, we need to motivate ourselves by listening to some motivational speech. Remember if you will concentrate on bad news, you will hear more bad news. So, look for the positive people and news around you and you will meet more positive people. Don’t drain your energy by surrounding yourself, around the negative people.

Thinking And Holding On The Past

It is said, everyone has some secret to hide about their life. Even some past incidents are not worthy to remember or recall. So, it will be better if you can learn some valuable lessons from that incident and move on in life.

If you want to remove those thoughts then replace that with new good experience. For that, you have to start meeting with dynamic people, learn and master their habits. Read good self-improvement books. Everything takes time but with right efforts, you can do it. So, don’t hold on to your negative past.

Taking things personally

Taking Things Personally

Your boss said something you couldn’t tolerate. Then you met with your friend and he argued with you on some matter. So, it means you had a rough day. Now you reached your home and since you are not in a good mood, you started arguing with your wife or parents.

Well, first of all, you shouldn’t take things on the personal level if that was related to work. And remember small arguments between friends do happen. So, just chill out, meet them again and sort out the differences, otherwise, you have to look out for a new job and friends. But yes, these situations will indeed drain your energy.

Conclusion

These are some of the most basic habits which can drain your wonderful energy. If you direct your energy in the right direction, it will give you better and fast results. Whereas, if you direct your energy in the wrong direction, it will destroy your life. So, be careful and the choice is yours to make.
