Liver Treatment

The liver is among the most essential organs in the body. We often tend to forget its importance, but the liver performs vital functions such as the breaking down of toxic substances, synthesis of proteins, production of hormones, breakdown of red blood cells, and of course production of bile to help with digestion.

Your liver serves the vital function of producing bile in order to aid in digestion. In addition, your liver stores excess sugar and attempts to keep your bowel movements regular when its working the way it is intended. Unfortunately, today's processed foods, alcohol and environmental poisons take a toll on your liver. Use alternative medicine methods to keep your liver functioning correctly.

Alternative medicine is defined as any health practice that takes the place of, or is incompatible with, conventional Western medicine. It is often opposed to evidence based medicine and encompasses therapies with an historical or cultural, rather than a scientific, basis.

Liv 52 is a proven alternative drug for all liver diseases and this protects liver with no side effects.Liv 52 is one the world’s most well-renowned liver support formula.Introduced by Himalaya Healthcare in 1955, it is now a No. 1 formula that is sold in more than 40 countries. Liv 52 DS tablets have double the strength of the regular ones. The ingredients used in both are exactly the same but the double strength tablets have double the amount of the same ingredients.

Liv 52 in alcoholic liver disease

Excessive consumption of alcohol can cause an acute or chronic inflammation of the liver and may even harm other organs in the body.Alcoholic Liver Disease may progress in three stages.

Fatty liver : Heavy drinkers often develop fatty change in the liver. This may not be linked to deterioration in liver function, but abnormalities may be seen in Liver Function Tests (LFT's). If a person stops drinking alcohol, fatty liver changes may be reversed. Otherwise this can be considered as the first stage in the progression towards Cirrhosis of the Liver.

Alcoholic Hepatitis: This stage could be anything from mild to life threatening. The LFT's will almost always be abnormal, and the patient may develop jaundice. Just as with fatty liver changes, abstinence from alcohol can reverse the effects, but people who continue to drink heavily even after this stage are at high risk of developing cirrhosis.

Cirrhosis: This is the final, irreversible stage of Alcoholic Liver Disease. It is characterized by scarring of the liver and development of liver nodules. It severely affects liver function and reduces life expectancy. The LFT's are usually abnormal. There may be jaundice (yellow coloring of the eyes and skin) and sometimes bruising or bleeding caused by abnormalities of the blood clotting system.

Alcoholic Liver Disease can be treated by alternative medicines, depending on the stage of the disease.Himalaya Liv52 is a very popular herbal supplement. The herbs in Liv.52 have been selected due to their well known ayurvedic properties that are beneficial for the liver and for overall well being. Liv.52 maintains the functional efficiency of the liver. It detoxifies and protects liver cells from harmful toxins and supports the liver's ability to regenerate itself.

Liv.52 facilitates rapid elimination of acetaldehyde, the toxic intermediate metabolite of alcohol metabolism, and detoxifies liver cells.
Excessive alcohol consumption is related to liver disease. Acetaldehyde has long been suspected to be the cause of alcoholic liver disease. Acetaldehyde has unpleasant effects on the central nervous system and its persistence may be responsible for hangover symptoms in moderate social drinkers.

Liv.52 if consumed on a regular basis makes easy speedy abolition of acetaldehyde, the toxic intermediary metabolite of alcohol metabolism, and protects from alcohol-induced hepatic damage. Liv.52, a liver stimulant, diminishes the lipotropic action in chronic alcoholism, and averts fatty infiltration of the liver. Liv.52 also arrests the growth of the disease and prevents further liver damage. As an every day health supplement, Liv.52 improves appetite, the digestion and absorption processes, and promotes weight gain als

I did not know about Liv.52 herbal supplement. Certain yoga poses can also work to tone the liver if done regularly.
