Recumbent exercise bike reviews 2016

Updated on November 19, 2015

Many people choose to use home exercise equipment because they lead very busy lives and it's the only way they can get the workout they need. Others like to watch TV, read or listen to music, in the privacy of their home, while they workout.

Many folks prefer home exercise equipment to joining the gym because in the long run it's cheaper and you are more likely to work out, if you can do it right there at home.

In my opinion the recumbent bikes give you a more comfortable cardio workout than the upright ones.

In this article, recumbent exercise bike reviews, we have written a short reviews of the current best selling home recumbent exercise bikes.

Schwinn 240 Recumbent Exercise Bike

In my opinion the new Schwinn 240 is the best recumbent exercise bike on the market.

What makes the Schwinn 240 the best?

  • It has good brand name recognition. Schwinn has been a successful bicycle and exercise bike maker for a good long while.
  • It has a good color interface. The control panel has a high number of resistance settings(16). It can remember a users details between workouts. It has a lot of different workouts and you can create your own and save them.
  • It has a water bottle holder.
  • There warranty: 5 years on the frame, 1 year on parts and electronics, 3 months on parts and 3 months on labor.
  • It has a book holder. I like to read while I workout.
  • The bike can monitor your heart rate while you exercise

What I don't like about the bike:

  • It's not easy to put together. (Go online for better information than you can get from the manual)
  • I don't like the magazine basket under the seat.
  • It's pricey. If the price is to steep get the 230. It's very similar and it will cost you $100 less.

In short the Schwinn 240 is the closest thing you are going to find to a top of the line gym exercise bike.
