2013 Collection: unforgettably unusual Mother's Day greetings and ads
Last year I posted some Mother's Day-themed greeting cards and ads. These came from my private collection and were so humorous I couldn't resist sharing. Since Mother's Day is tomorrow I thought I'd post some more this year. I hope you enjoy them, and Happy Mom's Day to the moms, grandmoms and other all others that put the loving "her" in Mother.
GREETING CARDS
From the message of this card I take it a father's guidance must be something like eggs. But toast works, too, I guess.
The message here may be sweet enough, but if you look closely at the bird you gotta wonder if something doesn't stink about this one.
There's nothing to guess about at all in this next message. Nothing like the truth, no matter how stinging.
Then again, some truths just shouldn't be broadcast outside of American Horror Story: Asylum..and even at that, you're left wanting to wash in Listerine.
The message on the outside of this one would incite any Mom with pride...
until you open it up.
On the other hand, some kids have enough pride for both of you.
There's something special about a kid that remembers to give a shout-out to their grandmother. In this case we'll call it, "Written out of the Will."
CARDS FOR FILM FANS
Of all the cards here this is my favorite, and I'm not even a fan of Star Trek: The Next Generation!
Huge surprise not, I found this one in the Step-Mother section of the card bin.
This particular card better come with a stiff drink or a Xanax, or the poor Mom receiving it probably won't make it to next Mother's Day.
MOTHER'S DAY ADS
I happen to be quite the avid book collector, but the last one on this list sounds a little too pervy even for me.
Here's a nice sales flier, perfect for kids wanting to make Mom's life easier - without lifting a finger themselves, of course.
You can always tell when Dad has posted something in the classifieds..
Kids, if you're trying to save a little money, here's a gift that can double as an early Father's Day present, too.
And finally, a note to men out there: nothing shows the mother of your children how much you care like an intimate dinner for two at a fine restaurant.
Sadly though, this place has gone out of business. It could be anyone's guess why!
