2015 Collection: Epic Fails In TV and Movie Christmas Listings
Last year around this time I shared some humorous clippings taken from television guide sections of various newspapers. Since the Christmas season is once again here, I thought I'd post the latest in my personal collection. These clippings are curious for a variety of reasons: some have simple editorial oversights, while others are flawed, funny or outright strange in some other way. Like most folks I love a good holiday movie or special. But to be honest, I love finding goofs in the printed media almost as much!. So here are the latest batch of these unusual Christmas movie/TV newspaper listings, and I hope you will find them as entertaining as I have!
Depending on how you feel about the two movies listed here, the writer either summed them up really badly or quite observantly!
Now I was never a MacGyver fan, but if this listing is for real I'm going to hunt it up!
Yoga is nice and bare is nice, but I'm pretty sure it was supposed to be YOGI BEAR.
Thank the gods, Bing Crosby was a little before my time.
Frosty The SNOWMAN, people!
I am a huge fan of Once Upon A Time, but I until I saw this listing I would have never imagined Rumplestilskin being a Home Shopping Network junkie. But I guess this explains all the lame Disney memorabilia you can spot in the shadows of his shop.
While Chris and Nan's DIY home decorating tips may appeal to survivalists, the off-the-grid folks and your average cheapskate thrill-seeker, I think I'll just stick with electricity-burning bulbs, thank you.
I guess the danger of marauding camel thieves could be real nightmare before Christmas.
Yeah, I always found the VeggieTales somewhat disturbing; now I know why.
Ok, I'm guessing the writer of this listing won't be voting for Bernie Sanders any time soon.
And I think we all know why Die Hard is listed here as a "fantasy". Oh yeah.
Somewhere in Hollywood is a bunch of movie writers who work under the unflinching belief that Christmas is a living entity that needs one of those "Help, I've fallen and can't get up!" button-thingees.
Having watched this Lifetime romance film, I can only wish the real movie had this much depth to it!
I saved my very favorite for last here, and it is my favorite because something tells me this is 100% legit. You just can't find entertaining scenarios like this on formula-scripted reality TV!
