5 Inexpensive Places to Shop for Christmas This Year!
#1) Hollar.com
I'm in LOVE with Hollar this year!
Hollar.com is such a cool website, and definitely one of my new favorites for Christmas shopping. They have convenient "gift guides" on their website that help you find presents for each person on your list. Many of their items are $1.00 or less, and almost all of them are priced way lower than you would normally pay for the same items in retail stores. For example, I've purchased several "Essie" brand nail polishes on Hollar that are normally $8.00 or $9.00 at other stores--but on Hollar they're only $2 or $3! What a steal! Hollar has so many little toys, household items, gag gifts or white elephant gifts, and great stocking stuffers! I seriously love it! I got the cutest little mini curling irons for only $5.00 for a couple of our cousins. I am so excited about them!
#2) The Dollar Tree
The Dollar Tree is the BEST place to shop for Christmas decor, ornaments, stocking stuffers, and wrapping paper, boxes and gift bags. I do not know why anyone would go anywhere else, as it's high quality and all only for $1.00. You really can't beat it. I even found books there the were normally $16.99, only for $1.00! What?!
#3) Dollar Spot at Target
Target has a "spot" at the front of the store that carries $1.00 and $3.00 items. There are so many wonderful and high quality stocking stuffers for kids, teens and adults there! Decor items abound there as well, and you can definitely doctor up some of the decorations to make them your own, a.k.a. create your own DIY projects! I've taken a couple of Christmas card holders and inexpensively turned them into photo displays for the grandparents.
#4) Five Below
Five Below is a store that sells everything for $5.00 or less. I browsed on their website recently, and there are some really good deals to be had for Christmas gifts! They have quality board games for children, for only $5.00. They have lots of Christmas decor and stocking stuffers for the whole family, too. Not to mention some cool toys for kids and gadgets/tech stuff for adults. So if you're looking for discounted gifts that are still worthwhile, look no further!
#5) 99 Cent Store
It's probably a given that I would suggest the 99 cent store, but I still have to state the obvious. Everything is only 99 cents, for goodness sakes! They do carry different items than the Dollar Tree, so be sure to check it out. You might be surprised by how nice-looking a Christmas tree can turn out when decorated using 99 cent store ornaments, for example. Some people like to use some fancier ornaments and then fill in the tree with some cheaper ornaments from 99 cent store and Dollar Tree, and no one is the wiser! Go visit the store soon and see for yourself!
Bonus Place: Thrift Store
Your local thrift store is a great place to look for Christmas decor and presents, as well. There are some really cute and super discounted items there. Sometimes you can even find gifts that are still in the original packaging. Thrift shopping can be really fun, because you never know what you might find. And the best part is, you can satisfy your urge to shop, and your need to get "new" Christmas decor or gifts, without spending too much money in the process. That's a win-win situation, if you ask me!
