We all look forward to the Holidays every year!! There's nothing better than a home filed with the sound of joyful children and the scent of fresh baked cookies!!!
Baking cookies was one of my favorite things to do with my grandmother!! She never left the kitchen over the holidays. Precooking & baking all kinds of goodies!! I actually come from a family of great cooks!! No not chefs, but real kitchen cooks!!!
I would like to carry on the traditions and have been with my own son over the last 6 years. Here are just a few of our holiday favorites!!!

Handmade Christmas Bulbs make great gifts for anybody on your list. Especially Nannies, teachers, Aunts, and friends!! People appreciate a homemade gift appose to store bought!!! We make homemade gifts for teachers every year. You know they appreciate it more than a box of store bought chocolates.
Supplies You will need!!
12 plain coloured bulbs
Paint: White, Black, Orange, Blue, Green
1 little one who's hand you will paint
Directions:
A) Paint the palm of child's hand with white paint.
B) Place the bulb in child's hand, getting them to grab it gently.
C) Let dry. Then paint faces, buttons & hats.
Christmas Sugar Cookies
A Classic cookie, every body loves for the holidays.
They are fun to make, decorate and share !!!
Makes 12-24 Servings
Ingredients
1 cup butter ( softened (or margarine) )
1 cup sugar
2 tsp baking powder
2 eggs ( well beaten )
2 tsp vanilla extract
3 1/2 cups All-purpose flour ( sifted )
Directions:
A) Preheat oven to 375F
B) Beat eggs well, in a large mixing bowl cream with butter, sugar, vanilla until fluffy
C) Combine dry ingredients and gradually mix with creamed ingredients, mix well
D) Chill the dough for 1 hour, then roll out on a piece of lightly floured waxed paper
E) Cut out desired shapes, with floured cutters
F) Place cut outs on a greased cookie sheet and bake for 10 to 15 minutes!

Chocolate Meringue Drops
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 Cup White Sugar
- 1/4 Cup Powdered Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 tsp White Vinager
- 1/2 tsp Cocoa Powder
- 2 Eggs
Cook Time
Directions
- Beat egg whites with salt until it's nice and foamy
- Melt chocolate chips in the microwave for 30 seconds (or until chips are all melted)

- Add sugar, and beat until you have stiff peaks, add vinegar and vanilla, then fold in melted chocolate
- Preheat oven to 350F Drop teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes
