Christmas Season Door Wreaths Ideas

Updated on October 4, 2011

Nothing announces your joy of Christmas more than a lovely Christmas door wreath hung on the door of your home for all the world to enjoy. Its become a lovely tradition to have Christmas wreaths to adorn the front door of homes during the Christmas season.  Here are some lovely ideas for Christmas door wreaths.

It's thought that wreaths pre-dated the birth of Christ and perhaps they originated during the Persian Empire when members of the royalty adorned wreath on their heads. They have a strong historical link in Europe too.

During the Olympic Games held in Greece, the Greeks presented winning athletes with a victory wreath during the medal ceremony. It was a graphic symbol linking the past to the modern games with their adaptation of the wreath. Its possible that the transition from early athletes to a door or table decoration happened by the winners taking their prize wreath home and displaying it on the table or the door for others to enjoy.

Many cultures have adopted and adapted this symbol and Christmas wreaths share the spotlight with wreaths for other seasons including the 4th of July, Halloween and Easter.

For years now I've bought goods from Amazon and I've always found it to be such a convenient way to shop. Now that Christmas is not far away, you can save yourself some time and still be ready for Christmas. Its so easy and convenient to shop online.

The secure payment method used by Amazon gives you additional security. The goods are well packaged too. You just make your selection, order and then wait for the exciting day the package is delivered. What could be easier?

I enjoy door wreaths all year round, but especially those during the Christmas season. Nothing like fragrant cedar or bay to greet guests as they step through the front door! Beautiful wreaths! And aren't wreath hangers just the greatest invention ever?

Great Christmas Wreath selections. Nothings says festive welcome quite like a wreath. I love the fresh ones-though there seems to be quite a variety of artificial ones too...best of all you can use them over again.
