Delicious Holiday Candy From Route 29 Napa

Updated on October 31, 2010

My sweet tooth is my downfall, and I fight it for most of the year. However, during the holidays, I focus more on keeping it under control than actually on fighting it. After all, enjoying a few seasonal sweet treats is a holiday tradition.

I'm very picky about the candy I eat, because I don't want to waste the calories on ordinary vending machine fare. A few years ago, I received a holiday care package packed with Route 29 Napa Confections candy, which is truly some of the most tasty candy I have ever eaten.

If you've never tried the delicious candy treats from Route 29 Napa Confections, based in Minneapolis, you really don't know what you are missing. I have to admit that I was not familiar with this company's candy confections until recently, but I am now a huge fan.

The Route 29 Napa Confections gift set I received included several tasty treats, and I'm sure I'll be ordering more in the future.

About Route 29 Napa Confections Candy

What Makes Route 29 Napa Candy Special?

Route 29 Napa is not your typical mass produced confection. The products are made in small batches, and each item is hand dipped. The attention to detail and high quality organic ingredients that goes into making the product line is evidenced by the delicious taste of these gourmet candy delights.

Route 29 Napa can trace it's roots back to more than 100 years, when a housewife from St. Paul, Minnesota decided to start her own candy business at the urging of friends who enjoyed receiving her delicious homemade goodies.

My Favorite Route 29 Holiday Candies:

I have only tried a few Route 29 confections so far, and they are all delicious. My two absolute favorites are:

Peppermint Bark - I have always loved peppermint bark, and I can honestly say that this is the best I have ever tasted, homemade or store bought. Peppermint bark is usually white chocolate with peppermint. This delightful concoction goes a step further, also adding a delicious layer of milk chocolate. If I could only have one kind of holiday candy, this would be it.

Snowball Truffles - These melt in your mouth delights are a combination of milk chocolate, white chocolate, and coconut. They are rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. They're also very unique, quite unlike anything else I have ever tried.

These are just a few of the many terrific candy treats from Route 29 Napa. The company offers a number of year-round delights, as well as seasonal items for various holidays throughout the year. If someone who appreciates the rich flavor of truly delicious candy is on your shopping list, you can't go wrong with a gift from Route 29 Napa.

I purchased your Valentine S'more Pops at our local Wal-mart for $1.00 apeice. What a delightful surprise! This was the best and the most different Holiday candy I have tasted. The actual size grahm cracker was crisp, the marshmallows were just the right size, and the chocolate was perfectly balanced.....plus the price was really affordable. If you want to taste a generously sized treat without the actual mess of s'mores you have to try this!

We purchased the Route 29 Peppermint Bark from a local school that was raising money. When the order came in we only got one small 6oz pack of 4 small chunks for the $20.00 that we paid them. Is this a common practice, to cheat the customers ?
