Pre-Wedding celebrations

If you're planning on getting married you'll have loads to do. You will have to sort out your venue, guests and outfits. Plus plenty more. But don't overlook your hen party.

This is a great excuse to get your best female friends together to celebrate your forthcoming wedding- and men are not invited!

So what have you got planned for your hen night? A wild night out to celebrate your 'last night of freedom' is a bit of a cliche, but there are tons of ways you can do a bit of female bonding. With you as the center of attention.

1. Hit the Clubs

This is the obvious way to party, but if it's what you want to do then go for it. Like your wedding, this is your day, so get your pals together for a night of fun!

You may want to start in the bars and do a crawl before the clubs open. Just make sure you stick together as a group, be sensible and stay safe.

2. Have a weekend away

A mini break is a nice way to get away from the wedding plan chaos. You can let your hair down and do as you please. Depending on where you go, you can get some sun, sea and sand during the day then hit the clubs at night.

Or have a quiet one visiting local attractions and enjoying the pubs and restaurants.

3. Go to a Spar

For a true girly experience, a spar is the perfect hen party. Enjoy facials, massage and aromatherapy to prepare your skin for your wedding and de-stress you at the same time.

You can guarantee all your friends will love a bit of pampering.

If you have booked your spar at a hotel then make a night of it, with drinks at the bar in the evening. Very sophisticated and loads of fun!

4. A Boat Party

Boat parties are great and doing this for your hen party is a brilliant idea. You can have drinks, a meal and music on the boat (just don't go over board!).

You can also theme your party and go fancy dress or go all glamorous in a red carpet outfit.

5. Burlesque Lessons

This is not for the shy but there's no need to get embarrassed - remember you are with the people you trust the most. Book yourself a burlesque lesson with a professional in a fully equipped environment. Dress as you feel comfortable and just learn the moves (you don' have to strip!). They might come in handy on your wedding night...

6. Belly Dancing

If burlesque is a bit raunchy for your gang of girl chums, then what about belly dancing? It's different and makes a good workout. Again, book yourself on a proper lesson and learn how to shimmy and move those hips!

7. A Wine Tasting Session

This is a high brow way to get a little tipsy with your mates, whilst getting yourself an education at the same time.

Visit an established venue or vineyard for some wine tasting - from basic vino to expensive plonk from all around the world.

If wine isn't your thing, then treat yourself to a chocolate tasting party instead. Yes, they do exist and sound very yummy indeed.

8. Paint Balling

Do you like a bit of fun and action? Then get yourself a paint balling gun and start running around in a wood, hiding from the enemy.

The idea is to 'splat' your opponents in a controlled environment, with the appropriate safety equipment. Heaps of fun and a way to let loose.

9. Theme Park

An alternative hen party is to go to a theme park for the day. If you are a bit of an adrenaline junkie and love roller coasters and big rides, you'll love being a big kid for the afternoon.

It's a different way to celebrate, especially if boozy nights out are not your thing.

10. A day in a recording studio

If you love to sing in the shower or join in the karaoke, get yourself down to a recording studio for a session. You can sing your favorite songs with your friends, or do a solo and have them recorded.

For a romantic gesture, sing a special song which means something between and your finance - and play the song at your wedding for him.
