"He died for us" Poem...Our Salvation

Updated on December 23, 2013

Just as I was thinking...

Originally I wrote this poem for Easter, but came to realize, any time is a good time to contemplate on our existence and how religion impacts our lives.

Easter Poem...my thoughts on this day.

Source

He died for us...

He died for us on that day,

with no cries, or even a tear;

just to take our sins away.

Enduring pain and humility,

he did not show fear;

all to save and restore humanity.

The sadness on his face,

it could be seen;

the relentless torture;

what did it mean?

It was his way of saving the human race.

As we remember him today,

when he arose, the brightness

he has shown, for our own sake.

Let no human be untouched,

through his greatness,

we remain;

as we awake, make no mistake...

Salvation is the only way!
