Fall Colors In Northern Illinois
I'm a native Texan and hope to one day relocate back to the state of my birth. However, one positive about living in Illinois is witnessing four distinct seasons. Don't get me wrong...I am not fond of the winters. The first snow of every winter is beautiful to me. However, the very next day I am ready for it to go. If you know anything about winters in the Chicago area, you know that the snow will remain until April. It turns dirty and it depresses me. Yuk! The winters here are brutal.
Spring and Summer are awesome. Every year the spring arrives, I feel a sense of new hope and renewal. Although I love Spring and Summer, Fall is the most beautiful and colorful season in this area.
Fall Folliage
The beauty in this Midwestern area is just breathtaking. The oranges, reds, and yellows just reach out to you and delight your vision. We call it sweater weather. In this weather I love to take long walks and enjoy the scenery. My dog, Kizzy and I will just hit the road and walk and enjoy the beauty of the autumn foliage. Leaves are falling. The crispness in the air makes your nose run. If it was like this all year long, it would be okay with me.
Fall folliage is another sign of the greatness of God. He created a world where even the plants and trees obey his season order. They respond to the change of seasons like clockwork. Have you realized the awesomeness of God's creation? How great is our God! Enjoy His creation!
