Give Noah Biorkman His Dying Wish
UPDATE: On November 23rd, little Noah passed away.
According to the Detroit Local News Channel 4, Noah Biorkman is a little boy who was diagnosed with cancer when he was three years old. Since then, he's been fighting it for all he's worth, but doctors gave his family a bleak prognosis.Noah is currently in hospice care and is not expected to live to see Christmas this year (2009). Because of the dire situation, his family celebrated Christmas early in November.
You can be a part of this Christmas miracle.
Although the outlook for Noah is not good, there is a tiny Christmas miracle you can be a part of. Noah's family asked for Christmas cards for Noah, to help brighten his last days on this earth. According to WDIV, Noah received 8,000 cards and Christmas presents in the mail within two days of their request. However, the Christmas miracle will not stop with those 8,000 gifts.
Writing a message to a child inside a Christmas card will only take a minute or two of your time. A stamp costs less than half a dollar. Can you offer this little bit of time and money to send a card of encouragement to a dying child today? Noah's time is drawing short, so don't wait. Don't promise to send one next week, or even in a few days. If you don't have a Christmas card on hand, make one. I'm sure Noah would love handmade cards just as well as the store-bought ones. Make him a special Christmas card with a heartfelt greeting and mail it to him right away.
