Great gift ideas for Christmas

Updated on October 11, 2010

Gifts for christmas

Its hard to find things to by my mother for christmas as she has everything and if she wants it she usually buys it. I try to spend a reasonable amount of money on my mother because she usually spends alot on her kids and grandkids. Her limit is usually 50$ a piece for her children and husbands or boyfriends and $100 a piece per grandkid. My mother has 2 kids and 2 stepkids along with 7 grandchildren an none is favored, which she stresses. Christmas is my moms favorite time of year. She goes all out with the decorations and usually has to have some help from the family to decorate her yard and home. This year I will be traveling over to help her decorate her yard and she always gives me things for my yard as the years goes by she gives things to me so she can buy new things to put up. It has became quite a hobby for her throughout the years. I believe the best thing to enjoy in the United States is the christmas yard decorations. I plain on buying my mother more things to add too her yard decoorations.

LED lights

The new LED lights are the new hot lights to use for Christmas because they save energy. My mother said last year her electric bill climbed from $80 to $200 for the month of December. Using LED lights can save a ton of money. Using the LED lights will cost a fraction of what the regular lights cost, they also have longer strings of bulbs. LED or Light Emitting Diode light only uses .04 watts per light. LED lights also help the environment and reduce the risk of fires. LED lights can last 50,000 to 100,000 hours where as conventional bulbs last around 1,000 hours. The cost of LED lights are more but overall will save you money over the years.

LED lights are a great gift idea

LED lights are a great gift idea and a great way to say money on your energy costs. These lights can easily be working 50 years from now.
