I am Drunk

Updated on September 7, 2012

How intoxicated am I?

Well I would have to say I am so intoxicated with Vodka that I am surprising myself that I can still type coherently, or maybe not, I'll check in the morning!

You may be thinking why on earth is the stupid cow writing inebriated? Because I really couldn't give a monkeys how people judge me. I long since let go of that feeling, and you know what? It is such a feeling of freedom. Let yourself go!

Why do I get drunk? Because I work from 6 am until midnight at being a mother and on line writer and worker. So by the weekend and when my kids are safely tucked up in bed, the bottle comes out and I chill out!

My main culprit is Vodka, it is low in calories so the only guilt I have is the hangover rather than the calorie content. I drink it with diet coke.

Why do people drink, why do I drink?

Well I have four children so the only way I can afford to relax is with a drink on a Saturday or Friday night, or both some times. I don't trust any one else with my children and think they are still safer with me at home having a drink than with some one I don't really know whilst I am out. My children have never been left with any one but a family member, and that is a rare occasion.

The reason I drink is I work flippin hard all week and I deserve a break on weekends. I am still not off duty even then. But at least I am treating myself.

I choose to drink Vodka because it is the lowest calorific drink I know, as I drink it with diet coke as I have already said. It shocks me how much sugar is in all other female drinks.

So my message is, go have fun, have a merry weekend and enjoy yourself my friends. Life is way too short!!

Interesting hub, I work a 40 hour work week and know that it is good to be able to unwind at the end of the week. I also admit that a drink or two really helps my mind get into gear when it comes to writing. Voted Up and Interesting! Keep up the good work!

Like you I love to unwind on a Friday and Saturday night and don't feel the least bit guilty. Its usually only a glass or two of wine, thats all I ever have, but oh boy, love it when Friday night comes around and I pour a glass and sit down, put my feet up. It's just the best. I so relate to this. Might even have a couple more this Friday night and hit the keyboard myself, who knows what might come out of this crazy mind of mine.

Thanks for sharing a great hub.

My haunt is of course, beer. Beer is just too good to pass up. It's much to the chagrin of my wife, but hey. That same argument on my end could suffice as well. I work hard, and I just like the taste of beer, and life is often times just too brash and serious and go get'em that you have to have a little something to just bend the rules a bit, take a load off, and just leave a little bit of sanity behind. I think to NOT do so would potentially have far more negative consequences than doing so, and so there you have it. Drink vodka and be happy. I'll tip my glass of beer to you, and cheers.
