All of us have our crazy side. Sometimes, we just want to let loose and be in our wildest
self, to be in a world where there are no rules, where we can do everything we want even how crazy it would be. For those who want to express the wilder side of themselves, hosting a Mad Hatter birthday party, unbirthday party or tea party would be an enjoyable and exciting celebtation. A party where there are no rules and the wild side of things can be expressed.

In "Alice in Wonderland", when the Mad Hatter threw a tea party, we saw that it was not the usual tea party that we usually have. There was craziness, let-loose and fun time theme. Having a Mad Hatter tea party would mean crazy hats, crazy table setting, crazy cups, plates and almost everything associated with it.

Johnny Depp internalized and portrayed his Mad Hatter role excellently that he made the character even more alive and exciting. He is truly an amazing and very talented actor.

So, what do we need to prepare for a Mad Hatter Party? Below are some suggestions and tips that can guide you during your preparation.

First is to find the best location for our tea party. It can be right outside of your house, at your front lawn, where there is enough space to place the tables that you will decorate. If there is not enough space in front of your house, you can rent a place where there are trees and flowers around that you can decorate with Mad Hatter accessories, balloons and other things that you want to add. You can view the videos below for more ideas.

Second is to plan the menu. At this point, you decide what foods you want to serve to your guests. A Mad Hatter tea party is not just a simple tea party. You can prepare finger foods so it would be easy for your guests to eat and chat at the same time. The interaction between everybody will make the party more entertaining and enjoyable.

Invitations should be sent at least 2 weeks before so your guests can prepare what they will wear for your party. It would be great to have your guests come in a Mad Hatter inspired costumes. If they don't want to wear a costume, they can at least wear a Mad Hatter inspired hat.

Games! Games! Games! One thing that sets a Mad Hatter party than the other parties are the riddles and the nonsensical poetry that the Mad Hatter asks from his guests. Few days before your party, you can already make a list of riddles that you would want to ask from your guests. You can also prepare some prizes to make the game more exciting. A well-decorated gift basket or gift box for your gifts would add to your guests' curiosity and would encourage them to join the fun. Doing the riddles game while your guests switch places on the table will also add to the fun.

A costume contest with a great prize would also make your party more exciting. However, don't forget to inform your invited guests about by including it in the invitation.
