If Wishes Came True..

At this time of year the most often question is “What do you want for Christmas?” Depending on the age of the person being asked, the answer is usually anything from new toys to a new car. This year I didn’t have to think very hard about what I wanted.
My wish for Christmas is this:
I wish the little ten year old boys that were left alone for over a week to have a loving, caring home with their father that they haven’t seen since they were tiny. And his new girlfriend. Even being left alone for that week was better than the life they had with their mother…
I wish my little five year old student could have a school, or a classroom, or a teacher – that can understand how his little brain works so that he can live up to his full potential. I wish there was someone who could help me help him…
I wish the little kindergarten girl can live a healthy, happy life after her surgery to remove her fallopian tubes. The cancer was caught in time…we think…
I wish the fourth grade boy could learn to control his temper and his anger. And for the other fourth grade boy to be safe from his fists and the chairs flying in his direction just because he asked his “friend” if he could borrow a piece of paper…
I wish that the little fifth grade girl could have a real home with parents that love her instead of the grandmother that wishes she were never born…
I wish that the teacher in first grade has a healthy child…the spotting started yesterday and the baby isn’t due for many months….
If Santa is real, he would make these wishes come true…if not, maybe I should change these wishes to prayers…
