For Mothers and Others on Mother's Day

Updated on September 15, 2012

For All Certain Special People

This special day is once a year

to bring all moms a bit of cheer.

Included in this special day are those

who mother any way.

And so this poem is meant for you

so filled with wishes bright and true,

to give you thanks and gratefulness,

and gratitude for lives that bless.

Happy Mothers' Day to You!

Roses, like mothers, may be fragile beings, but their fragrance lasts forever

For My Daughter on Mother's Day

Mothers have kids and they grow up.

Kids have Mothers and they love 'em.

Everybody learns about life, and sharing;

and changes, and Time keeps flowing by.

But some things never change except to

become more precious, and that is

the love of a mother for her child.

Just wanted to let you know again,

I Love You.

Happy Mother's Day to my Daughter!

To Celebrate You on Mother's Day

Grendmothers have extra time, and purses full of everything!

Really special times can be shared with grandmothers, like extra spoonfuls of ice cream without asking.

Another name for people with soft skin that wiggles when they laugh with you!

Nothing is too hard for grandmas to fix. They have bottles of glue and lots of string, and can sew real fast!

Didn't God do great when He made flowers and angels and grandmas! Mine says so. And sometimes she says I'm an angel.

Most grandmothers have to take a nap when kids come over to stay a while. But they won't make you rest if you stay quiet enough.

Always use your manners and people will like you, and sometimes give you money even. Ask my Grandma!

Grandmother, remembering you, with love...Happy Mother's Day!

Poppies, like little boys, grow rapidly with loving care.

Happy Mother's Day to You

M is for you, Mother, this year. Yes, Mother, let's celebrate You!

O is for one who was ever sincere, holding my heart and each problem near.

T houghtful and caring, through all of life's pile

H er hands, heart and holler, were used with a smile.

Every moment important, as time flew on by, she

R eached out to my plans, held fond memories nigh.

Thank you dear Mother, for roots and for wings... and for also becoming my friend!

With all my love, this special day...and always!

Dear Auntie, Like a Mother to Me

To celebrate You on Mother's Day

Music and fancy things, and cookie jars; gentle hands that stroked my head, my heart, with honest love,

Memories to treasure and fondness, unmatched by any other given,

There is nothing like a special Auntie. Mine. Loved. Always!

Auntie, Happy Mother's Day to You!

Mothers and special things fill our life with joys to share and when the sharing is done, the memories will forever linger.

May blue skies and butterflies bless your day. Mother's butterfly bush - and Arizona blue sky.

Visitors are always welcome. If they don't come with a smile, they'll leave with one.

Oh, I was so thirsty... slurp, umm. Love your cool water!

Beautiful days always end with love. It is though God shines a flashlight through the clouds.

John Starnes sings "Beulah Land", a favorite song of my mother and grandmother.

Happy Mother's Day to All

If you can't send flowers, you can send heartfelt wordsl

If you can't be there now, you can call. And be there later.

If Mother has already transferred to Eternity, strive to be that honorable person she wanted you to be.

If you have more than one, love them both, let no challenge deter your appreciation.

If you have none...cry. And then choose someone to be yours for the day. Smile together and in honoring her, your tears will dry.

Nice tribute to all the mothers, whether they be daughters, grandmothers, or mothers themselves (oh yeah, aunts included).

Thanks for sharing and love your pictures always.

restoremyheart, thank you for your sweet comment!

By the way, an FYI: Mother recently turned a young 95, and she'll want to mur_er me for telling it! :-)

So I am listening to John Starnes sing Beulah Land - and as usual I'll have the beautifully haunting song in my head til I go to sleep tonight.

Two of these apply to me. Still waiting to be a grandmom...though hopefully not for sometime yet.

Well written. You have written about mothers, grandmas, and all mothers in prose and poetry. You are very talented. Thumbs up.
